I wasn't planning on doing many mini sessions this season buuuuuut had a change of heart - DM if you want family photos :) I can't believe it's been almost 20 years non stop capturing your families during the holiday season, say whaaattttt - maybe this will be my last season who knows?! I am a full time Business Coach for impact driven entrepreneurs now and I love it --- and last night I found myself sending this article to a mom who told me she wanted to hold off for pictures because she feels overweight.

This article reminded me it's important to nudge mamas to get in the picture - if you haven't had photos with your kids in a while and avoid the camera, highly recommend you read this article.

Photos and videos will outlive us, and these are keepsakes for our kids to see US in this season of THEIR life too. They are the a few things in life that appreciates over time. That's why I always hire someone each year just the same.

Also-- photography hack if you want to forgo hiring someone and still capture a family photo - we do this with my family anywhere scenic!! Place your camera higher up on a shift or tripod where you are looking upwards -- and take video of you and the kids. Move ever so slowly and smile and hug them etc.. Then go through the video and go frame by frame and ultimately there should be a frame of a photo you love-- take a screenshot and tadaaaaa...you did it ;)

Capturing families for the last 17 years - Wahhhhht- I remember ten years ago, I was 6 weeks post partum with Max and didn’t cancel that holiday season 😭because photography has been so fun and peaceful.
Took a long time to not be intimidated by any curveball or obstacle (lighting, projectile vomiting, big emotions, crowds, unhappy folks, clients yelling) and make it a positive experience. And because ain’t nobody got time for more than 20 min, I’ve done even 10min sessions that yield a ton of photos.

Mom left Vietnam in 1975 with 7 kids in tow, my eldest brother was 8 and we there’s 2 sets of twins among us) and just pieces of gold in our shoes. My mom now is 81, has 15 grandkids, been a wife of 51 yrs, and became a widow in 2017 and in that first year of mourning, was diagnosed with lung cancer and yesterday’s PET scan is all clear - so she’ll recheck in 6months!

We honor and celebrate womxn and girls today and everyday

📣No one can take a dream from you without your permission my friend. ✨💡

This morning was the end of weekly training and coursework since last year and ya girl is a few weeks away from being a certified Executive Coach and Life Coach. Both certifications allow me to do a job, this dream job of guiding womxn to explore entrepreneurship unapologetically-
with more tools and deeper understanding of human nature and the human experience when we want to optimize our performance at work or him. It’s been an amazing process— Just need to pass my exam😅

As a mom, I cannot help but think about the families with little ones who may be separating from the rest of their family to seek shelter and safety.

I read tonight that one way to help get $ into the hands of Ukrainians is to purchase from their Etsy stores and purchase a digital download. These are small business owners. This doesn't require them to send any product to us, but will allow them to receive the money immediately. The drawing was created by a 7 year old, and when I reflect on what range of emotions that child is going through who’s similar in age like my kids who have zero stressors right now- my heart just breaks. The photos you see here examples of what you can buy, and what I just purchased.

Casting Call! Looking for local residents in the South Bay to be part of a local campaign for ! A beautiful co-working space in Redondo Beach!

When: March 13th , you’ll be scheduled to join us for 20 min within the window of 9:30-11am if selected.

In exchange for your 20 min, you will receive a one week co-work pass , day of unlimited hand crafted espresso drinks, and your favorite headshot ($300+ value) shot by yours truly

I want to raise my kids in a world where they are fully seen valued and heard.

But when starts trending … it is hard to feel this way.

If you don’t know why I switched from cheery posts where I felt really prideful — to now feeling sad, then you may not know how Asian women are feeling this week. You can read up on the death of Christina Yuna Lee, stabbed 40 times and found dead in her NY apt this week and the rage and frustration that follows.

I repeat to myself— want to raise my kids in a world where they are fully seen, valued and heard. I

We need everyone to remember that if you see something, say something.
