Alaska was a wilderness that has yet to be conquered by man. I could not even try to capture the raw beauty of Kodiak Island with the bears and eagles along with the majesty of Mount Denali in Denali National Park and Preserve. More still to come!

Oklahoma wasn't all black and white, it was also teaming with wildlife at the Witchita Wildlife Refuge Center in Altus, Texas. From prairie dogs to buffalo to longhorn cattle to wildflowers, the 59,000 acre refuge was an amazing discovery and a reminder of how we need to preserve natural areas to enjoy for generations to come.

While visiting Oklahoma certainly wasn't the top state on my list, it has its own quiet beauty that was easily captured in black and white. Life has a slower pace in the countryside of the midwest, but in the midst of COVID I'm learning that slow can be good and forces us to stop and enjoy the little things, from a man refueling a private plane to an old house on the side of the highway.

I went about as far in the middle of nowhere that I think is possible in Guangxi Province, but the views were absolutely worth it. Detian Waterfall (德天破布）is the fourth largest transnational waterfall in the world and the largest in Asia, bordering Vietnam and China.

This 20 mile hike was so beautiful along the Li River. Honestly the pictures don't do it justice.

Wow. I spent this past weekend in a tiny ethnic minority village in the mountains of southern China on my summer study abroad with the Chinese Language Institute. The area is famous for rice terraces in the mountains that utilize mountains springs and engineering to ensure all the patties have water.The woman here don't cut their hair and so they wrap it in towels to keep themselves cool. More picture to come!
