I met Laura 6 years ago when she moved here to attend NCSU. Only here a month, she responded to a post of mine looking for a new babysitter. She was there through my pregnancy with Lyla and would always bring me Jimmy John's at my (pregnancy craving) request. Shortly after Laura arrived, her boyfriend came to visit and he reached out to me to capture their proposal! They asked me to then travel to Minnesota to photograph their wedding. I've since done multiple shoots for them and their extended family. Last year, while having Thanksgiving at their house, they told me they were having a baby. I was beyond excited and couldn't wait for their little one to arrive. Unfortunately, baby Lennon decided to make her arrival 10 weeks early. After spending 45 days in the nicu, mom and dad finally got to bring her home. And today was her "newborn" session! I love this family so much and I'm beyond blessed to have been witness to all the most beautiful moments in their lives.

I've had the pleasure of photographing weddings at the Chapel Hill Carriage House for 7 years now. With every wedding I do, I fall more in love with it. It's romantic, unique, and beautiful no matter the season. The Carriage House is like visiting your favorite distant relative that you're always excited to see and hear new stories about their life. Each wedding I do is a new story. As I spend the day with new faces, listen to jokes and watch the banter between friends and family, I begin to see the love story unfold.

For Jenna and Brad, their day held sweet quirks like avocado robes for the bridesmaids and the guys starting off on the putting green. I heard the most heartfelt toasts from the brothers of the bride and groom, watched grandma getting down on the dance floor and saw two people who love each other so deeply have the wedding of their dreams. I'll never get tired saying how honored I am to be a part of these monumental moments in their lives.

Sharing sweet Gracyn's senior photos today at Fenton. She was my neighbor and babysitter for 4 years. She's as kind as she is beautiful and I'm so excited to see where her bright future takes her.

The sweetest proposal yesterday at the NC Museum of Art! Brady planned everything perfectly. He even secretly called her hair salon and had then change Taylor's appointment so she would have her hair done before the proposal! To see the joy and excitement on her face was such a gift! Congratulations to you two!

Who would've thought a trip on a cruise would lead to true love? That's the love story for Whitney and Garrett. Yesterday, on Whitney's parents property, the two of them wrote another chapter in their story. It was a gorgeous day, and appropriately pink to unknowingly celebrate the new Barbie movie! They danced the night away, and we even got to see Whitney's Billie Jean live on stage, which led to her stage diving into the crowd!

I had an amazing experience shooting in two iconic North Carolina locations today. Maria graduated from Duke, Alex from UNC. And although they went to rival schools, their hearts found love in one another. They made the voyage all the way from their home in Texas to come back to where the love story began.
