I was going to write up this very meaningful post about how awesome dads are but my toddler has yet to show any signs of sleepiness and bedtime, aka quiet time to actually access the creative part of my brain, feels far - hence this real life mom reality instead.

Also, Im not joking, mid-typing this caption, Nico stepped into a spiky thing and I had to pull about twenty little splinter spikies out of his foot.

Fall mini session editing AND keeping up with Nico are about all I do these days... whenever it gets quiet on here, life is loud and busy!

If motherhood opened my eyes to one thing it’s how precious and limited our life-time truly is. It’s made me shift priorities, question them and put me on a path of doing more things that set my heart on fire - how does that saying go, „if it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no“ (excuse me).

You may not have noticed but the last pictures I’ve posted on here all share a certain aesthetic/color scheme and hint toward what I want to move toward more and more in the future.

Whites, warm beige and greys, earthy tones, natural textures… it’s what I wear, it’s what our house looks like, it’s colors I gravitate towards in all areas of my life.

I’ve had a little desire in my heart to bring the neutral aesthetic that is so dear to my heart into my photography work more for a while now but I guess I needed motherhood for that extra nudge of „what in the world are you waiting for?“.

Over the years I’ve always found that neutral outfits and the way I edit are a perfect match. They make for a beautiful timeless look, they don’t distract from what I’m wanting to capture - your connection and love as a family, they don’t alter skintones, reflect light well, and would look beautiful printed and displayed no matter what your home looks like design-wise.

🍁 2023 FALL MINI SESSIONS

So many of you have already asked about them, sooo let me officially announce: short, snuggly and sweet family mini sessions will be happening in October and November!

If you are interested in getting some natural and beautiful photos of your family (or would like more info), head to my stories and vote in the little poll - that way I know how many dates/time slots I should roughly be planning for and then I’ll be announcing the dates & locations this Thursday. Sign up will open this Sunday, September 3rd at 8pm.

Can’t wait to see lots of familiar faces (some of you have been with me for years and I am so grateful) and also meet some new families this year! Let me know in the comments if I’ll be seeing you this year 💛
