TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT!!! I get to share the stage with this INCREDIBLE group (just missing one baddie) of performers for our Shimmy Seminar as we graduate from Raleigh Burlesque

Over the last 8 weeks we have learned, practiced, played, created and failed forward for this very moment. I’m so incredibly proud of the humans in this class and all they overcame to be here. Stunning, but more importantly kind, eager, thoughtful, fun and radiant.

Show starts at 7 at the Cannonball Music Hall here in Raleigh and you can snag a presale ticket for $10 at Raleigh burlesque dot com orrrrr you can pay $12 at the door!!

So excited to be a part of this world. It’s been almost 7 years in the making and it’s finally time! You can do anything you want in this world. If it sets your soul on fire….chase it. Don’t ever let someone tell you it’s not possible!

When I look at this image it makes me feel like the moment right before you run into the unknown to pursue something you’ve wanted to. The tension. The excitement….but also hesitation. The fear of stumbling over all the other responsibilities you have to carry. It’s both anticipation and fear.

So this image may not mean much to someone scrolling, but it encapsulates my entire life right now. So thankful for this journey and my amazing clients (now friends) who are supporting me along the way.

Here’s to the women who are holding it together while pieces of them slip away. Hidden in a closet that doesn’t often get checked. Stuffed under titles like mom, wife, employee, keeper of the house. Maybe not lost forever, but most certainly missing for the time being.

You deserve to be witnessed. Seen for the person you are, in your entirety. Your love AND your rage. Your beauty AND your broken. A whole human. Who deserves to collect those pieces that have slipped through your fingers and stuff them back into place….mending them with love and a little whimsy.

Leaving behind the memory that you didn’t allow your circumstance to define your worth. That you honored your sadness. And you fought like hell against your rage.

YOU are worth. YOU are beautiful. And YOU deserve to be witnessed.
