There’s a big storm in our area and I’m waiting for my chili to be ready, so it’s the perfect time to catch up on sharing more. I watched the Golden Globes on Sunday, and with The Holdovers winning some awards I decided to watch it. About 20 min in I realized the music sounded the same as in Sideways. Yep, made by the same people. It has the same vibe with silly characters. I liked it. Especially when Mary says, “Why did you put all that paprika in there?!” It was very “I won’t drink any fing Merlot” moment but not quite. Anyway it was entertaining. Definitely worth a watch.

I absolutely love seeing families that become friends year after year. I know as kids get older family photos become less regular, but I really hope not, because it’s such a gift to have photos of the whole family that are happy and loving rather than pictures only taken at weddings or other big events. It’s nice to have photos of the everyday too. I feel so lucky to help you get these happy sweet pictures. 😍

Every year I’m shocked that it’s already the week of Thanksgiving (how are we here so fast?!) but here we are again and here’s my holiday anxiety too!! I know all you moms know what it’s like! We all do so much this time of year, and it’s stressful but we get through it and the magic is made.

But here’s a pro tip: stock up on the Trader Joe’s Egg Nog. That stuff is so surprisingly delicious (it’s made with wine!!). I was so sad when I ran out last year, so I’m making sure I have more than a few bottles on hand this year 😊 🤩

What do I look for in a good location for family photos? For me it’s all about the landscape. I love tall grass, different textures of vegetation, soft light filtering through trees, hilly terrain, to name a few. This is why I have a few locations that I recommend over and over. This one is my fave. It never disappoints!
