Just another day in the life as a med mom! Appointment day at the hospital 🙌 but this time I only had an hour wait to see the doctor instead of our normal three hour wait so that was a win!

When I say we LOVE Bonsie Skin to Skin Babywear in this house, I truly mean it 🫶

From those early newborn days to hospital stays, specialty appointments, and slow snuggly days at home, Bonsie Baby has been one of the outfits we reach for again and again for our Annie girl. 🤍

September, you held a whole lot. 🤍 The sweetest highs and some really heavy lows - sometimes all in the very same day.

My highs for September:
✨ Annie graduating from both her helmet & feeding tube (!!)
✨ lots of cuddle time with my babies
✨ hearing Evelyn share with her siblings + others about Jesus
✨ a sweet month of homeschooling
✨ photographing so many beautiful weddings & sessions
✨ Tommy starting preschool
✨ Edward’s excitement to learn
✨ lots of dancing in the kitchen with my hubby
✨ Tommy getting his AFO and watching him keep making progress
✨ celebrating little victories with each of the kids
✨ feeling really loved/cared for by your people
✨ Annie passing those weight checks without her NG
✨ watching Evelyn move up in gymnastics
✨ ordinary family days at home that felt especially sweet
✨ sweet time creating with Edward

My lows for September:
✨ wisdom teeth removal 😅
✨ a brain MRI for one kiddo
✨ learning two more of my kiddos need a brain MRI & scheduling that
✨ a Cerebral Palsy diagnosis
✨ recording my baby every day, trying to capture a seizure
✨ a hospital stay + too many walks down that familiar hallway
✨ another abnormal EEG / navigating more seizure unknowns; ✨ watching/walking through a big sissy process the harder parts of having siblings with additional needs
✨ the constant appointments/therapies and rearranging life around them

September was another reminder that joy and grief don’t have to take turns. There were days I felt deeply grateful for this life and deeply weary from it - sometimes within the same hour.

But there was so much good. So much laughter. So much growth. So much ordinary life tucked between appointments and diagnoses and hospital halls.

Here’s to October - praying for a little more of the sweet and a little less of the hospital hallways. 🫶

What would you add to the list?! I’d love to add a blanket for me from home, but it always feels like too much to carry in when I try!

First day of preschool, homeschool, well check, getting an AFO brace on, back to the dentist, grocery shopping, gymnastics and all the in between! Woah that was a BUSY day all while still being in excruciating pain in one of my wisdom teeth extraction sites 🤭 Thankful for extra hands & help today from our sweet sitter & my husband stepping in when he could on work breaks!

Don’t worry my evenings are full of rest this week 🙌

A little day in my life ✨ this time it’s a mom boss edition! No medical appointments on this day 🙌 which rarely happens, but it was technically a holiday so since my husband was off I was able to photograph a couple of sessions & it was a goooood day!
