Kyleigh + AJ's wedding day was the perfect mix of heartfelt, elegant, and genuinely fun. From an emotional first look to a packed dance floor, every part of the day felt centered around what mattered most: celebrating the life they've built together and the one they're excited to begin as husband and wife.

After meeting, navigating time apart, and finding their way back to each other stronger than ever, this day felt less like the start of their story and more like the continuation of something really special.

Donovan Manor provided the perfect backdrop with timeless architecture, classic white florals, and beautiful summer weather that showed off every corner of the property.

One of my favorite things about this day was how present they both were. They soaked it all in with private vows + dinner. The emotional moments, the laughter, the hugs from family, the speeches, and every minute on the dance floor.

Mother’s Day always hits a little different in this job.

I get to witness so many versions of motherhood on wedding days. The moms steaming dresses in the corner while trying not to cry. The ones zipping up gowns with shaky hands because suddenly their baby is getting married. The quiet forehead kisses. The “did you eat yet?” moments. The deep breaths before walking down the aisle.

And today, I’m thinking about all of you.

To the moms still deep in the chaos of raising little humans.
To the empty nesters learning a new version of motherhood.
To the moms whose babies are grown and building lives of their own.
To the women longing to become mothers.
To those carrying grief today because their mom or baby is no longer here.
To the mother figures, bonus moms, grandmothers, and women who love with a mother’s heart.

We see you. We celebrate you. You matter more than words can really say.

Rainy days always make me think about Melissa + Sheldon’s wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill

The ceremony moved inside because of rain, but it made the whole day feel even more intimate.Rain on the roof, everyone gathered in close, the kind of atmosphere you can’t really plan for.

Between the hora, Duke making an appearance, and family traveling in from all over, their day felt incredibly personal from start to finish. Blue and gold details tucked throughout the space made everything feel warm and sunny despite the weather.

Katie + Spencer’s wedding day felt extra special for so many reasons. Their original wedding weekend in the NC mountains got completely thrown off by Hurricane Helene, and instead of stressing over making everything perfect, they decided to elope on their original date anyway. Then almost exactly one year later, they finally got to have the wedding celebration they had planned all along.

Watching their first look in the garden honestly felt really full circle. After everything these two went through to get here, the day just felt calm, emotional, and really meaningful in the best way.

And somewhere in the middle of all of this, we all ended up having babies around the same time too, which made this season of life feel even more connected. These two are genuinely so special to me, and getting to document both chapters of their story has been such an honor 🤍
