As a photographer, a parent, and a daughter, I know how easy it is to believe there will always be another opportunity for a family photo.
But children grow up, schedules become busy, and these seasons quietly change before we realize it.
Over the years, I’ve photographed fathers with little children, high school seniors getting ready for their next chapter, and grandfathers with grandchildren who adore them. The ages and stages may change, but one thing never does: the look on a father’s face when he’s standing beside his child.
Pride. Joy. Love. Sometimes a little disbelief at how quickly the years have passed.
I’m grateful for every father and grandfather who has stepped in front of my camera and trusted me to preserve these relationships and the seasons they represent.
Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who are there for the milestones and all the moments in between. ❤️
