but this beautiful weather we have been having recently has given me some inspiration!

little update: here is one of the many adorable photos from a wedding i did for the sweetest couple in February! also, i’ve had a job change and have some exciting things happening in my personal life! 💙

the reason why i think wedding detail shots are SO IMPORTANT….
•
think about all that time you took choosing your invitation design and envelope color and wax seal
then think about the time & money you spent taking engagement pictures for the invitations
then think about how much your jewelry & rings cost
so much time and effort and money are put into the details & having a few photographs of “the little things” can be so special later on when you’re looking back on your big day!
•
besides the invitation, jewelry, & rings, there’s so much more that can be added to detail shots, like your wax seal, cuff links, perfume or cologne, flowers, shoes, hair accessories, garters, watches, ribbon or LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE that is special to you!
•
so do your photographer a favor, gather these things up, & let them take some beautiful detail shots for you!
•
NOW
if you’ve already gotten hitched and didn’t have the chance to get detail shots, take them yourself! pull your sentimental wedding box out of storage, find a simple or plain background to lay some items out, get some good lighting, and use your phone! play around with the arrangement and take all the pictures! a simple Google can help you with layout!

i’ve loved the poem Having a Coke with You ever since the movie Beastly came out all those years ago, do you remember that movie?

Kayla & Kenny reminded me of that poem with all of their sweet smiles, little laughs, & loving glances at one another

that is probably my favorite thing about photography
•
capturing those moments that appear small but in reality have so much meaning
