We're all used to the "Small Business Saturday" slogans that pop up for the holidays. I'm in favor of them.

Guess what else I'm in favor of? Shopping local, small businesses year-round as much as possible.

Why?

Because those small businesses are the economic heart of small towns, and they're here EVERY DAY, including Saturdays.

🇺🇸 Election Day is right around the corner and you have the opportunity to help! 🇺🇸

Brooks County, GA needs more Poll Workers. Here are the eligibility requirements:

✅ Must live in Brooks County (or a surrounding county that borders Brooks).
✅ Must be 16 yo or older.
✅ Must complete a poll worker application asap.
✅ Attend a poll worker training 2-3 hours, paid $50.
✅ Be available to work on Tues May 19 from 6am to 8pm at assigned precinct.
✅ Pay for election day is about $150.

As much fun as it was to photograph the TEDxJasper 2026 event, it was even more fun creating portraits and headshots for the speakers.

Eight special people with important messages to share. Eight different personalities to represent in images that are true to them.
