🟡⚡🟠Distant Strike🟠⚡🟡

If you look under the bridge, you can catch a single bolt I caught during an overnight storm a couple weeks ago. With all the heat lately, it seems like forever ago since we've seen a drop. Hopefully we get a nice little storm next week to help cool things down. It'd be a nice little bonus if it came with some lightning too!

The colors on this image are really cool too. I love the long reflections of the lights from the bridge on the surface of the river. I also can't ignore the clouds and how they seem to be both organized and disorganized. It was a really fun storm to watch roll into the area.

🌎🌎🌎Planet Quincy🌎🌎🌎

These types of images are commonly referred to as “little planets” and there’s no need to guess why. I decided to head down to the riverfront around sunset last month to make a little planet out of all the wonderful scenery and clouds.

I think it turned out pretty great considering it’s my first time trying but I have some ideas on some things I can do to make it just a little bit better next time.

This is the finale of images with the Bayview Bridge illuminated pink in honor of Dolly Parton. I appreciate all of the comments on my image from last Saturdays photo. It was the MOST liked image I've ever shared on my page with you all so I thought I'd share just one more.

🌅🌅🌅Morning Views🌅🌅🌅

This birds eye view as the sun rose over the City of Quincy was spectacular. The colors of the clouds as you move away from the sun is a perfect gradient from warm to cool. This was taken a couple weeks ago, but it's been sitting around waiting to be shared for a couple days.

The sun has been rising a little later every day, but I still have hopes to get out and catch a couple more great sunrise shots before it's impossible because of my schedule.

⚡⚡⚡Zeus' Revenge⚡⚡⚡

I've shared this one before but since I have so many new followers I thought it'd be a good one to share again. It's one of my personal favorites!

This image is a composite of about 10 other lightning strike images during a storm approaching Quincy last year. I set the camera up and took exposure after exposure from the same spot. After blending all the strikes together, this was the end result.

I'm hoping to get another chance to re-create this image with a new storm and slightly different location this fall.

This image would be classified as a composite. The lunar eclipsed moon is slightly enlarged to give more detail, but the position of the moon is accurate to where it was located when this image was taken.

Something about seeing the city and all the lights at night make everything so much more interesting. The gentle ripples in the water from a passing boat really created a nice effect as well.

🩷👒🩷Dolly Pink Bridge🩷👒🩷

A little late to the party but I snapped a few images of the Bayview Bridge illuminated pink for Dolly Parton while I was out shooting the lunar eclipse Thursday night. What an American icon and purely great human being.

Going back to Thursday night, I couldn't believe how smooth and still the water appeared, not a ripple in sight. The calm would occasionally be disrupted by the sound of fish breaking the surface of the water...spooked me every time!

My first, quick rendition of the lunar eclipse last night. I used a star tracker to take long exposure and keep the moon sharp and in focus. I’ve got some other really cool shots to share as well!
