With the moon rising later in the evening, I had an opportunity to capture the comet and Milky Way together. I tried a new location, but the orientation just didn’t work out, so I headed to my trusted location at Butler Pond. This is literally on the edge of the “Blue Line,” which is the border of the Adirondack Park. The north end of the pond is in the park, but the majority of the pond is outside. It was such a nice evening, I hope you enjoy the shot as much as I did making it. This was shot on 10/22.

This is the view of the northern tip of Indian Lake taken on 9/27 when leaves were a week or so before peak. Nothing like kayaking on perfectly calm water with reflections everywhere.

Lynds and I headed up to Eighth Lake and Inlet last weekend and climbed Bald Mountain, with about 100 other people. I’ve never seen so many people on a hike, but the holiday weekend and gorgeous weather brought everyone out. It was past peak, but still really beautiful. 10/12

It's been a while since I've posted anything on the social medias. I've been doing a lot of shooting this Fall and figured its time start sharing some of my work. Hope you enjoy them. I will try to post a new shot each day, "try" is the keyword there.

Took this on 10/7 at Buttler Pond in Queensbury. It still amazes me how lucky we are to live with such beauty in our backyard.

We ventured out Sunday night to Butler Pond in Queensbury hoping to grab a couple shots of the Aurora. The frogs were very active and we were lucky enough to see the space station fly by.

We had a great time watching the eclipse at SUNY Plattsburgh with 220 6th graders. I was in teacher mode, so photographer mode was muted and I didn't get the shots I was hoping for. 6th graders can do that to you, ask a teacher and they we tell you. Sorry to disappoint, I'll do better next time, because I will be retired 15 years then. Hope you all had a great eclipse day.

We were fortunate to have the northern lights on our last trip to Iceland. I love how the clouds enhance the colors throughout the sky.

With spring being put on hold for the moment, I thought a little taste of what's to come would be nice.

I love how soft the shadows were on the main dune on this shot. I apologize if I'm posting too many Sahara pictures, but it just had so many great things to shoot.
