Not going to lie… I’m LOVING the Lego era for Dax.

Hours of quiet, focused play while his little brain builds something he’s proud of? Yes please.

This season is loud and messy and full of chaos some days… but this? This is the kind of quiet I didn’t know I needed.

He’s been at it since he got home from school—totally in the zone. Watching him work hard and stay focused on something just for the joy of it is honestly such a gift.

I don’t love how fast time goes with our littles… but I really, really love watching them grow.

Happy 7th Birthday to my baby boy! He still calls me his girl and I remind him everyday he's never allowed to stop!
He's the one who made me a mom.
The one who still makes me laugh every single day.

He’s got the kindest, & most sweetest soul. He is the kind of kid who makes a new friend wherever he goes, who talks to strangers like they’ve been best friends forever, and who lights up a room without even trying.

He’s the best big brother—he and Hughey are besties in every sense of the word.
He’s still pretty obsessed with Pokémon and beyblades, but lately, legos have started creeping in too.
He just finished his 5th season of soccer (he’s GOOD), and he’s learning piano and horseback riding like a champ.

But what gets me most?
This boy reminds us to pray every morning and every night. He loves talking about Jesus. He loves scripture time. He’s the one who slows us down, centers us, and shows me what faith like a child really looks like.

I could cry just thinking about how proud I am of him.
And I am. I’m so, so proud to be his momma. Happy birthday Daxton! I love you & you're my boy!

I was just trying to capture his missing tooth! 😅😂

BUT, I absolutely love getting to freeze a moment like this—these are exact faces I see at home every day—& why I ever picked up my camera in the first place.

For me, capturing their personality matters more than posing them perfectly. Seeing their personality shine through a photo is definitely a huge part of the magic of a beautiful photo I'll cherish forever & put on my walls. 🩷

Ahh I love how this session turned out! 🩷

You guys! Most of you know I recently got hacked.. thankfully I just got my account back, but it was SO stressful because ummm.. instagram holds some of my most precious memories of my family and kids! 🩷

But here's a reminder for you: If you need to take time away from social media or your business right now, do it! It's perfectly OK to step back for a few days, rest, recharge, unplug. ✨

I say this with so much love because I've been there, pushing through when I really wasn't OK because I felt like I had to. Do what you need to do for you!

Don't feel like you have to push through just because you have a to-do list.

Take that break, mama! You're doing such a good job! 💛
