🏡📸 My home girl, Carly!
As I embark on this new journey, I'd like to take a minute to introduce myself and the story behind my brand. My name is Carly and I am a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams in Doylestown.
This story is deeply personal to me and is a reminder of how I ended up here today. It all started with my late grandmother, Dorothy aka Mammom. My Mammom built a thriving real estate business and I had the privilege of watching from the front seat (literally and figuratively).
When I think back to being a little girl, one of my core memories was getting to drive around town and tag along for her showings and visits to the office. I thought it was so neat to tour all of the different homes and peek around in the nooks and crannies (maybe a little more than I should have). Some houses were very old with low ceilings, many rooms and a dog to pet, while others had large windows, brightly colored walls and handmade jungle gyms. It was all so intriguing.
During our special visits to her office, Mammom would "hire me" to help make copies or organize little things around the office. A memory so strong and nostalgic, I can still smell the scent of the paper-filled supply closet. Shortly there after, we would pick up a nice lunch to have together, typically a good ol' salad and an iced-tea.
Mammom made me feel so valued, included, and excited for the days she allowed me to be a part of. This is where the idea of becoming a real estate agent first entered my mind, I wanted to be just like her. As I grew up, the idea never fully left my mind.
Her and I planned on doing it together and she would guide me every step of the way. She immediately had signs and business cards made for me and I still have them today. At the time, my plans had shifted, as they do, and I took a different path working mostly with children. I then became a mother, the ultimate dream, and I now have four beautiful young children that I am blessed to spend my days with.
Unfortunately, I lost my Mammom before I was able to get my real estate license and I wasn't able to practice with her guidance like I wish I could have.
My Mammom was an avid Wizard Of Oz fan and used the famous quote "There's No Place Like Home" for her business, and now that it is time, in her honor, I will follow in her footsteps, do the same and hope to make her proud.
I fondly look back on my memories, adventures and moments spent with my grandmother that truly touched my heart. So much of my life has lead me here and now I am beyond excited to guide others on their journey to a new place to love and cherish, because after all, There's No Place Like Home. 💛
