When I first started photographing cake smashes, I never imagined they would become one of the session types I specialize in. I always thought they would just be something fun I'd do every now and then.

Over the years, I've created just about every theme you can think of: all white, monochromatic setups, the classic pink and gold, sports themes, outdoor adventures, books, movies, and so much more. Honestly, I can't think of many themes I've turned down.

Some setups definitely take a little more planning than others, especially when clients come to me with a unique idea, but that's part of what I love. I enjoy the challenge of bringing a vision to life and creating something completely custom for each little one.

This little guy DEMOLISHED his cake during his session. It was the sweetest & funniest.
Celebrating these milestones with parents is so special. I have been doing cake smashes for about 12 years now and it never gets boring.

When Mom said she was going to bring her wedding veil to her newborn session, I was so excited. 🤍

It's been nearly 10 years since I've used a wedding veil in a newborn portrait, and I forgot just how beautiful and meaningful they can be.

I love when families bring pieces of their story into their session. This veil witnessed the beginning of their marriage, and now it's part of welcoming their sweet baby girl into the world.

A lovely person commissioned me to create a cake topper for her and she loved it so much she asked me to create a grad hat topper as well! They added the flowers but the rest I did.
