Over three years ago, this truck was just an idea in KPR - Kiwi Performance + Restoration’s head. Since then it’s been countless late nights, problem solving, and more hours than either of us could ever count. Today, it’s on its way to Puyallup, Washington for its indoor showcase debut at the Goodguys Rod & Custom 38th Pacific Northwest Nationals.
If you know anything about Goodguys, you’ll know what a huge accomplishment this is. Being selected for the three-day indoor showcase is an incredible honour, and I’m so proud to see my husband’s work recognized on this stage.
He built this custom ’78 C10 from the ground up. From designing and fabricating the chassis, to the bodywork, wiring, mechanical work, and final assembly, nearly every part of this truck has been touched by his hands. The only thing he entrusted to someone else was the beautiful custom upholstery, completed in Victoria.
The truck is already heading into the weekend with some momentum after taking home Best ‘70s Vehicle at the Qualicum Beach Seaside Cruisers Show last month, but this is another level altogether.
Best of luck this weekend, KPR - Kiwi Performance + Restoration. You’re going to do amazing!
If you’re down in Puyallup this weekend, stop by the indoor showcase, have a look, and be sure to say hi!
Wish him luck this weekend!🤞
