In the 8 years Mike and I have lived in Putney, VT, today might have been my favorite day. In honor of the best snow we have gotten in ages, our neighbors Diny & Jim, Evie & Jeff, and Julie & Tim decided to rally a community ski day. Jim and Jeff laid miles of beautifully groomed track, Julie, Tim, Jeff and Evie set up warming stations, and everyone with a set of skis headed out to enjoy the perfect, crisp, bluebird conditions. I have never seen so many smiling, happy people out on the trails on one day and it reinforced my love and appreciation for this little community. We are so, so lucky to have such amazing, thoughtful, and motivated neighbors.

It’s been a busy summer! So many fun events and sessions that I’m a bit behind on my posting (as always).
Super fun session with these cuties. I love seeing families and kiddos grow from year to year. This kiddo is bigger than the last time I saw him (with a little sis in tow) but he still has the most epic facial expressions.

Typically we wedding pros try really hard to stay out of each other’s shot - but I’m always glad when I get at least one frame of another fabulous wedding day wizard doing their thing. Somehow this was my first time working with Colby from but I sincerely hope it won’t be the last. Colby was kind, considerate, and so much fun to work with. I am stoked to have a new southern, VT videographer to recommend to my couples. 10/10 - highly recommend!!!

As I’m finishing up Katie & Tim’s photos, I am reminded of what an epic post-ceremony party they had. From the singalong to the amazing band to the first class dancing, this night was truly a celebration of these two amazing people.

3. Instead of cutting a tiny sliver of cake they went in for 1/4 of the cake. Because cake is delicious.

Mountains are beautiful. Mountains offer fun and challenging outdoor activities. Mountains have weird-ass weather patterns. If you are a true ‘mountain person’ you embrace the good the beautiful, the challenging, and the unpredictable with respect and enthusiasm. Haylie and Kurt love the mountains, wanted to get married on a mountain, and fully embraced the wacky weather by loving every minute of their beautiful, foggy mountaintop ceremony.
These two know how to make every day the best day just by showing up and leaning into whatever comes their way.

After many weddings working with this absolute gem of a human, she finally slowed down long enough for a quick pic with Haylie & Kurt. No matter what curveballs the day or the weather might throw, I always know that Emily days are going to be the best days. Cheers to this sweet, fun, endlessly organized and energetic logistical ninja. You are the GOAT and I can’t wait to work with you again!!!
