Brock + Mia, St. Mary’s Glacier Sunrise Proposal
— Brock reached out to me with his idea of a sunrise proposal at the most beautiful spot, & he wanted it all document. What started for me as a 4 am drive to the mountains, a hike before the sun was up, and hiding in the bushes ended in capturing their sweet proposal (go all the way to the end to see her reaction). But before that day even came Brock snuck out some of Mia’s favorite clothes (and shoes too!) and days before the proposal I picked up all of their clothes from his mom, then I packed them in so they could change out of hiking gear into cute outfits for some engagement pictures!! He thought of it all, and she was the sweetest.

What happens when you let a toddler lead? This.

There will be moments of smiles + laughter, a lot of exploration letting their curiosity wander, picking up sticks and probably some rocks too. There will also be stoic moments too, but don’t discount them, in these moments you’ll see the depth of your toddlers gaze, the softness of their touch, and the in between moments that match real life.

Amanda wanted to document her family. Like most moms of course she hoped for a good smile photo too, but more than that she wanted images that’ll bring her back to her motherhood even 50 years from now.
