In the Quiet of Your Arms 🤍

There is a kind of love that only a newborn knows,
in the warmth of a mother’s arms,
where the whole world slows.

In the way her fingers curl around yours,
in the sleepy sighs and midnight hours,
in the little head tucked beneath your chin,
and the beautiful new world you’re living in.

And somewhere between the cuddles and the quiet,
between the long nights and the days that fly by,
there is a mother falling deeper in love,
and a father who can’t stop looking at her with their little one in his arms.

Two hearts that once beat on their own,
now learning the rhythm of a love they’ve never known.
A family becoming, a story brand new,
in a thousand little moments that will never come through quite the same way again.

So hold them a little longer. Let the laundry wait.
Steal one more kiss while the house is still awake.
For these are the days that will one day be missed,
the tiny hands, the soft cheeks, the forehead you kiss.

And long after the newborn days have passed,
it’s these quiet, ordinary moments that last.

A mother’s embrace. A father’s gentle touch.
A little baby, loved so very much.

And a home that, in this fleeting season,
holds more love than it could ever explain. 🤍

🤍 Having known this sweet family since our childhood days at church, getting to document this new season of their lives and meet their newest little love was such a joy.

A quiet morning at home, the prettiest soft pinks and neutrals, tiny newborn details, and a whole lot of love tucked into the place where their family’s newest memories are just beginning. These are the moments I love most about in-home newborn sessions. There’s something so special about capturing a family right where life is unfolding.

And of course, we can’t forget big sister… who had her own ideas about participating in the photoshoot. 😂 Meanwhile, little sister was just wide-eyed, taking in the whole situation like she had absolutely no idea what she’d signed up for. That last photo might just be my favorite.

The pretty portraits are beautiful, but the in-between moments are what make a gallery feel like them. 🤍
