I was honored to take photos for the With Purpose AZ | Nonprofit Bloom & Brunch luncheon and exchange a few weeks ago. There were so many wonderful ladies there all with the goal of making Prescott, AZ a better place for everyone and raising money to support Yavapai Exploration and Science and Rise Above the Clouds ⛅️ The energy in the room was beautiful. The food was delicious, the auction was filled with great items, and the clothes exchanged were the cutest. And everyone had the most genuine smiles. Who all was there? Tag some ladies in the comments, especially anyone who I missed that was a part of the auction. There are too many people for me to tag! 🥰❤️

The buttery gold of this session is pure magic ✨ I did Erin and Chris’s engagement photos up at Goldwater years ago, and when they asked me to take photos of them with their daughter I was so excited. It’s crazy seeing people’s lives unfold and getting to be a part of such special points in their timelines. And let me tell you, Thumb Butte did not disappoint as a backdrop. It was honestly such a fun place, and even though I’m from the Prescott area I’d never taken pictures there before - only hiked it until my legs almost gave out.

On the ranch with Leslie ❤️🐴 Branding photos aren’t meant to be forced, and I love that this is all a part of Leslie’s life and that she chooses to show it in her business as a real estate agent here in Prescott, AZ. That entire industry is centered around home and that’s how the marketing should feel - like coming home. I think we accomplished that on this shoot.

I could have posted so many more! Honestly, I had a hard time choosing. Should I have posted one of every kiddo? More group shots? It was such a fun shoot with my friends and their family and I seriously couldn’t decide if I should’ve done like a 20 photo carousel or not. These are some of the sweetest, most generous people I know. And if you know them you know exactly what I mean.

I would be amiss if I didn’t post this multi-generational family portrait session from Thanksgiving. When everyone is in town you take pictures, right? And you don’t have to go far, the backyard can be the perfect place for a few snapshots of life at just that moment. Next year they’ll all be a little different.

This family was absolutely the sweetest btw. So welcoming! I could feel that they love each other.

Sarah is the cutest 🥰 We could’ve been doing a shoot for a boutique with the skirt she wore during her branding shoot. I absolutely loved it! There’s also story there. She sold us our house. Literally cried with us when we got passed up, yet again, for people with cash further down their home owner journey than us. And she’s freakin’ funny as heck. So her smile feels really rich to me, personal, and honest.

When you have with you on a shoot you know you’re going to laugh the whole time. He makes it all fun 🤩 And I love how this senior session turned out. We broke out his little disposable film camera lens for a few shots and it gave so much texture.

It’s such a privilege to have photos of ourselves and our loved ones. I’ve seen post after post about this all week. One mentioned an old woman who had said she only had two photos of her children as they grew. Two? I have thousands on my phone of my children and more on my hard drives. It’s heart wrenching, but one of my favorite things to do is look at all of them. Seeing the different phases they’ve gone through? A true gift. I can’t imagine only having a few photos to remember them at each age.

That’s part of why I keep showing up to take photos for my clients whether it’s for themselves, their family, or their business. Being able to document in a beautiful way the moments on their timeline is a huge honor.

This shoot was for a senior and I remember her mom saying that her daughter had felt so beautiful that day. To remember feeling pretty is a treasure, especially as we grow. Maybe one day she’ll have children and she’ll be able to show them what she looked like when she was younger.

Whatever the case, I love what I do. Thank you to everyone who has allowed me to take their photos this year. It really has been such a joy.

I can’t believe there’s only a few more weeks left and then it will be 2026. Every year goes by quicker and quicker, I swear.
