I went to record this week’s challenge and decided to get a little raw instead.

Running a business, being a mom and a wife, and literally running... it’s all demanding. Sometimes it feels like a lot, and it’s not always the highlight reel we see on social media.

Nothing bad happened. Nothing prompted this. I just feel called to be more open on here. Let’s put the egos aside and let our humanity out.

This is the first real slow down I’ve had since opening more doors, and I’m finding gratitude in it. Perspective is wonderful.

I used to live so fear-based, from a place of survival. I worked really hard to get out of that place, and I am so damn proud that I don’t lead from fear anymore.

Our world is crazy and overwhelming. And it’s beautiful and uplifting. Two things can be true at the same time.

Here’s to less highlight reel and more real life. Thanks for being here. 🤍

Day to Dusk, no second shoot required. This one started as a straightforward daytime exterior, and with a little movement and a little magic, ended somewhere golden. A fun new way we’re adding depth to listings without adding to your schedule.

This home truly welcomes you in and invites you to stay awhile. The grand piano tucked by the windows, a downstairs built for game nights and good company, a backyard that somehow looks even better once the sun starts going down. Hard to pick a favorite frame from this one.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. The days have been long and the schedules packed, but man have we captured some beautiful properties with incredible stories. Some of our favorite work happens alongside people who care as much about the craft and community as we do, Hughes Building Co. being one of them. Every detail of this custom home speaks to the quality and craftsmanship HBC prides themselves in, what a privilege to see it up close.

Had a long chat with my good friend Kelly. One of those talks that runs deep and damn I love that. I am deeply passionate about this business and so much of what makes it successful is never seen. It’s early mornings and late nights. It’s trusting the processes while building systems. It’s the never ending pursuit of chasing perfect light. It’s feeling like the odd man out while you hold fast to your beliefs in a world that feels like it’s traveling in a different direction. It’s beautiful. And that’s all of what makes it worth doing.
