I still remember trekking through the Arizona desert in summer heat for miles to stumble upon these super colorful and textured rocks. It was quite the adventure and experience to see such unique colors! One thing Arizona and Utah have taught me is that you never know what you will find in the desert!

A couple of favorite photos from Utah over the past few years. The desert is a place that I never really could've imagined would be so beautiful but yet the unique geology makes it a beautiful place to travel around and photograph! It gets pretty hot there in the summer but I'm sure I'll be back to explore some more this winter!

Been working a bit more on my editing techniques and using local adjustments rather than just editing everything in the image as one. Here is a newly edited photo in comparison to an older edit of the same image. It takes a lot more time per photo but adds quite a bit more pop and light!

So glad I got to make it out to Crested Butte for Lupine season this year! Even with a bad snowfall year the blooms were still amazing and all over the place! Photographing these things can kind of be a pain in the ass to edit with all the layers and focus stacking and flowers moving but I'm very happy with all the great images I was able to capture over a long weekend!
The main wildflower season is happening right now at the end of June and start of July this year so get out there if you can!

Love the changing of seasons in Colorado and the unique conditions that come with each! Looking forward to photographing and chasing some wildflowers this year!

The Tetons are grand! This was my first time seeing the Grand Tetons and I was left in awe and wondering why I hadn't made it out here sooner. I'm already planning another trip back later in the year and look forward to exploring more of the area!
