What a great time at the Louisiana Book Festival. It was so much fun sharing my work and then signing books afterward. A highlight was the legendary Dook Chase (of Dooky Chase Restaurant New Orleans, LA) asking me to sign a copy for him.

Autumn at Twin Falls — New York (not the city) is one of my favorite destinations, and in the fall of 2025 My Trusty Assistant and I were treated to some of the most amazing fall colors we've ever seen. This stop at Twin Falls on the Grasse River was one of the highlights of our drive through the state. And the memory of that view lives in my head.

Bones of Lake Pontchartrain No. 2 — This old push boat has been sitting on the bottom of Lake Pontchartrain just outside the mouth of the Tchefuncte River for years. I was there a few years ago for sunset and loved how the clouds broke right above the pilot house. I actually edited the photo as a color and monochrome, but this version has proved to be one of my best sellers.

I was driving through Wisconsin's Driftless region earlier this year on a stormy afternoon when I came across this amazing old church and it's surrounding cemetery. Those old tombstones always intrigue me, so I found a couple of the memorials that seemed to mimic the tall steeple above the Basswood Union Church, which overlooks a Richland County. It's one of my favorite photos from that part of the country.

Sunset Over Thor Temple: I was standing on the Grand Canyon's North Rim with some of my best friends as the sky glowed 30 minutes after sunset. One of the things I love about photographing in the evening is that there's still light bouncing around, opening up shadows. So I framed up this photo of the colors above the formation known as Thor Temple, and I love the layers created in the canyon.
