I had the pleasure of working with last weekend, a charity that serves children of parents battling advanced cancer, and got to photograph this lovely family after their trip to Six Flags. Fanice brought her girls and her mother and sister and we had the best afternoon at Cochran Shoals cuddling, laughing, and playing around. Their love for each other really shines through in every photo 🤎

I’ve been enjoying my little hiatus this summer! I posted a while back that I broke out my old timey Canon from the depths of my closet. I thought it would be like riding a bike but I’m pretty rusty with film. I missed focus a ton, underexposed, and destroyed one roll of film, but I still LOVE how these came out. As much as I love digital photography, I think I’ll always come back to this.

If you’re on my email list, you may have seen an email I sent out a few weeks ago about me taking a break for 2025. Those of you that responded with such kind words sure made me feel good! For anyone else, I wanted to post this here as well. I’ll be taking a step back from client work for a bit, and taking a little breather. If/when I decide to start accepting clients again, you will be the first to know!

Mi Yun was one of my first friends when Leo started school, and her son was one of Leo’s first friends.
