Such a fun wedding last night with Sydney & Nicholas in Port Gamble! (Port Gamble Weddings or so much fun!!)

St. Paul's church has been one of my favorite spots to take pictures for over 30 years now. This time of year, expect rain, plan accordingly, and with any luck you will have a couple to photograph who are as awesome as Sydney and Nicholas were to work with!

Congratulations to the bride and groom! :)

I wanted to send out some BIG thank you's this evening for a few special friends of mind who were moved to generously help LIFT UP pediatric cancer families struggling to make ends meet during the Holidays. Our Candlelighter's "Gift-a-Christmas" only has a couple of days left and there still is a big NEED for donations so we can fulfill all of the requests that have been pouring in.

Any amount is much appreciated and 100% of your donation will go towards brightening Christmas for some very deserving families.

I want to first thank Charlotte & Greg Ballog ("Pixel" & "Chaos"!) for generously donating yet again in honor of their precious Jackie Gypsy Ballog. Dear Gyspy was a light in the darkness for the pediatric cancer community for 30years dating back to when she was first diagnosed with cancer. She kicked cancer's butt and then proceeded to give back by being a perennial volunteer extraordinaire at Camp Goodtimes. I will keep a special place in my heart for Gypsy for the rest of my life. ❤ Thank you SO much Pixel and Chaos and miss you both!! ❤

And another BIG thank you to my friend of 40 years Rebekah Washington-Duchesneau for always being willing to donate for causes that help cancer Warrior kids and their families (thank you and love you Bekah!). 🙂

There is still time to donate. I hope you'll consider a last minute token of kindness that we will happily pass on to Warrior families.
Thank you and here's the link;

I wanted to share some crummy old, but totally classic in my life, photos from 1977. For those of you who know me you might not recognize the young dude with the U-dub t-shirt and sporting dark hair and only one chin. Yup, believe it or not that's me! Next to me on that day (and on hundreds of days) was my best friend Clark Young.

He's struggling hard right now with a serious health issue and I just wanted to send him and his family some love. ❤️

I remember this moment in the kitchen very well actually. I set my Yashica Twin Lens Reflex camera up on the counter and hit the self-timer button. Then I hurried over and stood next to Clark. We were totally silent and didn't have a thing to say when suddenly we both busted out laughing for no reason whatsoever! That happened all the time with Clark. The second photo is of him hamming it up in the kitchen (he would just burst into our house at any time of day and go straight for the fridge saying hi to my family members along the way--they loved him!). And the last photo is of Clark skying for a dunk. We played basketball constantly. Oh, and by the way I think that was only a 7-foot hoop!🤣

Sadly, I lost touch with Clark after college and only saw him one other time and that was 25 years ago. So the moral of the story is this; if you have a friend who fills up your world with joy, laughter and silliness, hang on to them and stay in touch, even if it's sporadically. My wish for you is to never feel the hurt in your heart about a friendship lost to time. "I shoulda, I coulda but life got in the way". Well that's not a good reason. So pick up your phone or send an e-mail, or kick it old school and mail a letter and hopefully soon you will be taking a selfie again with a special friend. ❤️

All my love and prayers go out today to Clark and his "wunnerfull" family! ❤️

That spinning mind of mine still hasn't stopped since the amazing Run of Hope Seattle this past Sunday! There have been so many generous donors to my Team NINJA!! and now I'm only $1580 away from my lofty goal of raising $12,000 for life saving pediatric cancer research (still time to donate!)! With your help I know I can get there! :)

I wanted to send more BIG thanks out there to some amazing friends, including Annie McGonigle who believes in this cause so much that she generously donated twice! (that's a move I highly recommend). Thank you Annie and love you!

Q: Why is pediatric cancer research so important?

A: Gavin.

Gavin is a DIPG Warrior.

During the presentation on stage at the Run of Hope Seattle I asked Gavin who his favorite doctor was. He answered right away, "Dr. Vitanza! But why isn't he here?" The crowd laughed but seconds later Nick Vitanza was up on stage with his little buddy front and center in my group photo.

My mind has been spinning since the awesomeness that went down on Sunday at the Run of Hope Seattle!! So much so that I have to spread out my thoughts and thank you's in a number of posts. :)

Firstly, THANK YOU to all those of you who have supported vital pediatric cancer research through this year's event and there is still time to donate (don't worry, I'll put the link below!). So far the overall raised today is $350,000 and climbing (hoping for $400K fingers crossed!).
