Meet Simba. 🐾

This tiny-but-mighty Boxer is part deer, part gazelle, and apparently part fish because this session ended with him splashing through the river in the dark. 😂

Simba went from a busy apartment with six humans and two giant dog brothers to a forever home with a big yard, furry siblings, sprinkler parties, and a foster mom who very quickly failed at fostering. ❤️

Our session started late in the afternoon and kept going until the light was gone, but Simba was still having the time of his life.

From couch-launching to river-splashing, this boy has definitely landed on his feet.

The changing leaves have me thinking back on some of my favorite fall sessions, and Penny & Cheyenne’s is definitely one of them. 🍂

A rescue dog who learned to trust the world, a person who gave her the space to do it, and an afternoon at Farragut State Park that was basically one long adventure.

Trees, golden leaves, Lake Pend Oreille, and a whole lot of Penny being Penny. ❤️
