A few days ago I had a pleasure of seeing a couple whose wedding I photographed in 2010! It was so great to learn how well they are doing now raising 4 amazing kids! To my surprise they look as young and beautiful as on the day of their wedding 16 years ago! 5 years after their wedding we had their family session with two daughters they had at the time. It was touching to see them looking at those pictures with totally new appreciation, as the older girl in these pictures is now 16.

If this old buggy could talk...
I wish I knew all the families it carried before it eventually found its way into my photography.
We haven't discovered its manufacturer, but after studying its construction and comparing it with historical examples, it appears to be an American horse-drawn buggy dating from approximately 1890–1905.
Its wooden-spoke wheels still wear their narrow iron tires. Beneath the body are wooden side bars, leaf springs and beautifully forged hardware. Even the little textured iron step that passengers once used to climb aboard is still there.
More than a century later, families are sitting in it again.
Not for transportation this time—but to create something their own children and grandchildren may someday treasure.
There is something about that circle that I find incredibly beautiful.
