The sleepy stretches, the tiny toes, the little fingers wrapped around yours, the way they curl up so perfectly like they’re still tucked safely inside you. Those tiny details don’t stay tiny for long.

One day you’ll look back and wonder how they ever fit so perfectly in your arms, how their little feet were ever this small, and how you could possibly remember every little detail.

That’s why we take the pictures.

There is something so special about watching the same family grow year after year. 🌾✨
I’ve been capturing Mariah and Tanner’s family since the boys were just wild little toddlers running around in the grass. Fast forward to now, and those same little guys have turned into absolute best friends and amazing big brothers.

Spending the evening with Hannah & Danny was such a special reminder of how quickly life can grow in the best ways. A year ago they became husband and wife, and now they’re preparing to become mom and dad after the new year.

There comes a point when you realize family photos aren’t really about the photos at all.

They’re about pressing pause.

On the growth.
On the changes.
On the seasons that seem endless while you’re living them and somehow disappear in the blink of an eye.

They’re about remembering who everyone was in this chapter.

The goofy smiles.
The independent spirits.
The bear hugs.
The personalities that make this family uniquely theirs.

Years from now, these images won’t remind them of what everyone wore or whether every child looked at the camera at the same time. They’ll remember the season.

The season when the boys were still little enough to reach for a hand.

The days are long, but the years fly by.

Right now, Timber fits perfectly in their arms. Her tiny fingers curl around theirs. Her sleepy eyes stay closed just a little longer. Her siblings are still amazed that she’s finally here.

But one day these moments will be memories.

The newborn stretches.
The little toes.
The way dad holds her close.
The way mom looks at her like she’s known her forever.

Time has a way of moving quietly, and before they know it, Timber will be running through the house, losing baby teeth, starting school, and becoming the person she’s meant to be.

That’s why these moments matter.
