Stormy was full of himself last night. First image was taken with just the table lamp light. The second came from an LED panel from Viltrox but has a magenta tone to it that I’m not sure works for me. I was fooling around with the Viltrox 135mm since I haven’t used it very much. Live that lens and you can see how quickly the falloff is with the shallow depth of field. Quick falloff from the eyes being in focus to the rest falling soft.

An image I've never edited. From back in 2022 in Newport News at a place called Lion's Bridge. The osprey would come in the spring and hunt from the banks along the river by the dozens. however, recent construction and work to build a boardwalk there by the city has pretty much destroyed the environment and beautiful backdrop we used to shoot these beautiful birds against. I did not see much coming from over there this year so I did not go. osprey are one of my favorite birds to watch and photograph.

Been working on the images since I got home this afternoon. I've edited 16 total, but these are the 3 of my favs for now. Shot from the roof of my building at work this morning because I was unsure just where the trajectory would come by the building. Next time, I have a better idea and will shoot from a much better location. Virginia Beach

Finally able to catch the jellyfish from the Starlink launch out of Florida. Was in the roof of my building to catch it this morning. But now I know where its location will be next time and will plan better. Image from the back of the camera. Will edit later today when I get home.

Stayed home today from work. Needed a bit of a break we will say. Sitting here in the chair earlier I was watching a few YouTube videos and my boy Stormy jumped up on the back of the couch next to me and wanted to look out. Had to stop him before tearing up my blinds for the 6th time. But letting in that light and him sitting there gave me the opportunity to grab a few images of him as he watched the bugs fly by outside the window. Nothing fancy, just me and my boy hanging for a day! He's since left me and gone to bed somewhere lol!

So, at the Joint Use Library in Virginia Beach, which is a joint venture between the city of Virginia Beach and Tidewater Community College which is the building I'm also the building Superintendent of now since March, wanted to display a few of my images on the donation wall. Donna Simpkins spent the day reworking the wall and getting my 2 photos hung with a few other works that have been donated. This is the first public display for me with my photography. Pretty cool to see. Thanks to Donna for the hard work on making it look good today!

Sunrise this morning once again at the Virginia Beach oceanfront 1st Street Jetty. Unfortunately this morning, the sky was cloudy and heavily overcast and the waves were typical Virginia Beach, nearly nothing. The tide was coming in and may have had a hand in it, but it never looked as decent as last Saturday.

First 2 images are just after sunrise when we got a quick glimpse of the sun peaking through a small break in the clouds. Taken using a 16mm wide angle and a graduated ND filter and a 4 stop ND. The rest were with the long lens 200-500mm.

Really wasn't much to see here today, but here was a quick grab of the eclipse that was seen in Greenland, Iceland and Spain today. This was right at 2pm from Virginia Beach. It doesn't even come close to 2024 when we were in Ohio for the total eclipse. But I decided to document what it looked like from here today.

I have finally received the material needed to print this out and mat it up. I also have another image that shot recently listed below also that I test printed and think it looks great. As of right now, if you live here locally in southeast Virginia or northeast North Carolina, if interested, contact me via messenger to purchase the waterspout/tornado image or even the bee image below. I’ll be working on others and figuring out shipping cost to send out for anyone interested. I just need to get that worked out first. Images are 13x19 matted to 16x20.
