Welcome to the unfiltered side of weddings. Where some days a monsoon floods your reception tent and other days you’re forced to evacuate your getting ready site. While the social media highlight reel will convince us that every day is easy, breezy, and smooth-sailing, the realty is that life happens. It’s inevitable.
The best planning tip that I can give; surround yourself with an experienced vendor team that has your back. Because at the end of the day, the show must go on and it’s our job as photographers to document it exactly as things unfolded (no matter how wet our gear got, how behind on the timeline we were, how “rough” the lighting was, or how little space you had to work with, etc). We all dream of the sunny and 75 golden hour weather, but walk confidently into your wedding day knowing that we’ll make torrential downpour look beautiful too😉If it’s part of your story, it’s worth telling about.
Featuring a few frames from Anna & Henry’s October nuptials that narrate the scene.
