When you start planning your wedding a million ideas will come to you. It can feel overwhelming. Your plans will shift, things won’t always be exactly how you envisioned them — that’s just how it is being human 🤷‍♀️

BUT at the end of your day, this is your special day regardless. Soak it up! Be present. Let go of your worries. Breathe.

This is the day you are marrying your best friend, soulmate, forever partner — whatever you are to one another and all the love you share 🖤

These two gorgeous goofballs were SO lovely to capture on the Oregon Coast this week. They truly soaked up every minute of their day and spent it laughing, hugging, and celebrating with their families and DOG (of course)

A little film drop today of what I’ve been up to so far this year! 📸

✨ Had the pleasure of making a local camping trip in Florence with Van Gachnang | WA + PNW Elopement Photographer where we hiked, napped, and road around on quads in the Oregon Sand Dunes

✨ Made an epic roadtrip with Oregon Elopement Photographer all the way down to San Francisco where we made an entire week of tide pooling for nudibranchs, enjoyed the city, backpacked through the Redwoods, and visited my new favorite Nat’l Park — Point Reyes!

✨ Had my lovely family come out to the Oregon Coast and showed them around where I live. I truly love playing host for my loved ones

✨ Caught LOTS of shad this season on the Columbia River Gorge with Jensen and our friends

✨ Made camping/fishing trips to Mt Hood National Forest

I’ve been experimenting a lot more with my film cameras and rolls, trying to nail down my style and it’s been incredibly fun. As of right now, all my packages come with complimentary film shots until I’ve mastered this new art!

That’s my summer for now, but you’ll see new film drops when more adventures are developed 😊

Summing up an elopement day, especially as rad as this one, is so hard to fit into 20 slides! 🖤🤘

Most people scoff at those who choose to elope, let alone those who choose to have an all-day adventure with 1 photographer and 2 videographers in tow — but these two understood the value of having a day that is completely YOURS and didn’t settle for less.

We spent the day getting them jazzed up, enjoying their epic airbnb, and hiking around forests in Mount Hood. It was a true honor to show them this magical place for their first time to Oregon 🥹

If that wasn’t bad ass enough in itself, we also got a massive heat wave with 95 degree weather in the mountains and still hiked hours in their wedding attire to a serene waterfall. I completely admire their determination to go after their wedding goals!

Feeling so incredibly honored to have worked with you A + N, you seriously are some incredible humans 🖤

Do you want to have a wedding day that is full of adventure but not up to hiking? I’ve got you covered 🤠

Biking, kayaking and kite flying are my top three favorite alternatives to hiking! The best part, you can incorporate them at almost any location you choose.

Buuuut if you are considering one of these activities, it’s best to let your photographer know sooner or later so that we can recommend the best spots for it!

I personally love the way kites photograph — which activity would you choose to do on your elopement??

Just because you are choosing to elope, doesn’t mean your wedding day is any less special. Buy the dream dress. Splurge on funky florals. Don’t be afraid of color.

I absolutely adore when I see my couples take time to gather their elopement details because not only do they photograph well, but it’s very meaningful.

Elopement days are meant to be crafted with intention 💕

Probably because I’m still riding the high of my recent trip down the Redwoods, but I will never get sick of being amongst these giants.

So many couples are choosing to get married in this magical place and as you can see — for a good reason 😊

If you are considering getting married in the Redwoods, make sure you hire someone who frequently works in this area (like me!) Not only will I help you through the permit process with The Parks, but I know the hidden gem locations and the fact that morning has the best light.

This is my “out of the office” post for this upcoming week until next Monday (June 22). If you haven’t seen before, I’ve gotten into tide pooling (specifically for sea slugs) the past couple years — thanks to my bestie Oregon Elopement Photographer 🐙🐚

We are off to California to see new species of these tiny and adorable sea creatures with a mix of visiting a new place together, hiking and backpacking.

I’m so excited to show you all what I end up experiencing and hope you are out doing something fun this weekend. It’s what life is really about 😊
