Hey everyone,

I'm sad to say that (as of May 2026) Stick'n'Stamp Community Craft Night will need a new home

Novel Book Bar & Cafe will close permanently at the end of the day on April 17th, 2026. We are so sorry to see this wonderful third space go. If you are able to make it to the Portland-based bookstore/cafe/bar before it closes, please do.

I've really enjoyed hosting Stick'n'Stamp monthly at Novel since November of 2025. I especially enjoy the interesting conversations and body doubling that the craft night provides

Since the event has been fairly popular, I would love to find a new location to host the event on a regular basis

If you have any ideas or connections regarding locations in the Greater Portland, Maine area that host events, please send me an email! (Linked in bio)

Do you like to cut up magazines? Are you interested in printing with vintage rubber stamps? Look no further! Local photographic artist Megan Bainbridge is hosting a community craft night. Please note, this is not an art class; it is an opportunity to create and connect with your community. Yes, you can take your creations home, and yes, all materials are provided. This is a "drop-in" style event, meaning you can come and go as you please; you will not miss anything if you arrive late or leave early."

I also offer private on-location Stick'n'Stamp events, all materials provided. Reach out if you are interested!

Every great story must come to an end. Novel will be closing at the end of the day on April 17th. It has been our great pleasure to serve Portland as a safe third space. We are grateful for the characters that have helped us make this place a community. While our story may be ending, we know that the bonds made here will live on. Help us celebrate the end of our story by sharing yours: share your best moment at Novel with us in the comments.

Why we are closing: It's a trope as old as time… a space that supports values over profit was no longer financially sustainable.

What's next: Novel will be open for our normal schedule until the end of the day on the 17th. We will be serving a slightly reduced menu. We will be running all programming listed on our website until close. The final event will be our friends from Maine Improve Studio performing at 7pm on the 17th. If Novel meant something to you, take the opportunity to stop in and talk story with our staff.

I've worked as a photography educator with students ages 7-17, so I am uniquely positioned to work with children and teens of any age (K-12)

I have a mobile lighting studio setup, so we can shoot on site, or we can have an outdoor session 🌱

We can also shoot in a Downtown Portland, ME-based lighting studio

Look no further!

Maybe you are too busy living life to take pictures, your phone camera is from 2012, or your best friend is an amazing friend but doesn't know how to get the right angle. Have no fear! This is where I come in...

As a professional portrait photographer, taking pictures for dating profiles is something I am experienced in & offer as a service

• I encourage clients to bring multiple outfits (because, who wants a profile with pictures in all the same outfit?)
• I am happy to give clients direction regarding the clothing they bring
• I ask clients to bring personal objects that showcase their personality and interests, intentionally capturing some candids to create a relaxed feel
• Want something really fancy? I also offer studio-lit portraits in Portland, ME!

The good news? Once you don't need a dating profile anymore, you still have some awesome portraits capturing the you of today!

• The events take place at either your business, home, or another venue you provide in Southern Maine

• Cyanotype workshops are an art lesson where you learn how to make photographic prints using sunlight 🌿☀️

• Stick'n'Stamp Craft Nights are not a lesson and simply an opportunity to craft (collage and vintage rubber stamping) with all materials provided ✂️📚
