Have you ever tried to plan something big in a place you’ve never been?

Maybe it was a road trip across the states, a weekend getaway in a foreign city, or even just trying to find the perfect spot for a picnic. You probably realized quickly that maps, reviews, and Instagram posts only get you so far.

Planning an elopement can feel the same way, especially if you’re coming from out of state. There are permits, locations, timelines, lighting, crowds, parking, and all the little details you don’t even know to think about.

That’s where a local expert comes in.

Someone who knows the area inside and out.

Someone who has already scouted trails, beaches, groves, waterfalls, and spots that most people would never find on their own.

Someone who knows what times of day are best for photos, which trails are worth the hike, or which can be skipped entirely.

Someone who can anticipate every detail, every bump so you don’t have to.

The kind of person who can help you laugh when things get tricky, calm your nerves, and make sure every photo, every sunset, every moment is exactly as you imagined.

With the right guide, what could feel overwhelming, stressful, or impossible becomes simple and fun.

When you work with me, your elopement becomes more than a day. It becomes the kind of experience you’ll tell everyone about, the kind that makes you say “I wish everyday were like today.”

What do you say?

Buy the plane ticket, pack the bags, and leave the rest to me.

Here’s the thing about my elopements: I only work with 18 couples a year.

Sounds crazy, right? That’s less than two couples a month.

But here’s why.

When you book with me, you’re not just another name on a calendar.

You’re a couple with a story, a vision, and dreams for your day. That’s why I dive deep into who you are, what makes you laugh, what makes you cry, and what makes your relationship yours.

Every detail of your elopement should reflect that.

✔️ Finding the perfect location that feels like it was made just for you
✔️ Planning a timeline that lets you actually enjoy your day
✔️ Curating vendors, experiences, and surprises that match your personalities
✔️ Handling all the behind-the-scenes stress so you don’t have to

Because when I limit the couples I work with, it means your day gets my full attention. Every email, every call, every timeline tweak, every hidden waterfall or mountain overlook, your elopement is crafted with care.

Focusing on fewer couples means your day isn’t just planned, it’s perfected.

Maybe it’s a sunrise ceremony in Olympic National Park. Maybe it’s a helicopter picnic in Northern California. Maybe it’s a beachside sunset in Oregon. Whatever it is, I want every aspect of your elopement to scream ‘you.’

From finding the perfect location to building a timeline that allows you to relax and enjoy the day, I’m dedicated to creating an experience that’s one-of-a-kind for you.

And with a limited number of couples I work with each year, you can trust that your elopement will receive the attention to detail and personalized care it deserves.

Now, allow me to roll out the red carpet for you (and by red carpet I mean stress free planning, wildflower lined trails, and hidden oasis’s).

“It was everything we wanted and more.”

Reviews like this mean the world to me.

Yes, of course I love what I do. I love taking pictures, traveling to incredible places, and meeting amazing people. But what I really love the most is seeing couples live out their dream wedding day, the kind of day that feels like them, from start to finish.

There are so many things I regret about my wedding day...

Don’t get me wrong, I love my husband. Wouldn’t change that part. 😉

But we feel most connected when we’re looking at forests and mountains together, not when we’re surrounded by a ton of people. So it didn’t make sense for us to spend all that money on a day that didn’t feel like… us.

I want you to have a day that you won’t regret. Whether that means I need to hike to the waterfall ahead of time to scout out angles or research the best flower vendors and henna artists in the Redwoods so you don’t have to, I’m excited to give you a day that’s actually about you.

In the words of Schott and Lis who had an amazing 2-day elopement in Alaska...

“This was the most amazing experience and we are so blessed we got to do it.”

While I could sit here and tell you all about Reilly and Brendan’s incredible elopement day in Olympic National Park, I think I’ll have Reilly say it in her own words:

“I may get emotional writing this... yes, I absolutely recommend Brianna Parks Photography.

My now husband and I finally decided that we wanted to do a larger elopement out West with our closest family and friends.

I found Bri and fell in love with her work. I reached out her in hopes maybe she had something available for this year, and by the grace of God, she was accepting one more couple.

We had a consult video call to ensure our visions matched, and we soon learned that Bri had a passion for not only delivering beautiful photos but an amazing experience for her couples.

What really spoke to us after our first time speaking with Bri was her expertise on the Pacific Northwest. Considering we live on the East Coast and had yet to go to Olympic National Park, we were nervous to commit to someone who wasn’t familiar with the area. Let’s just say that was NOT the case for Bri. She truly knew this area like the back of her hand and delivered on the goal of taking couple’s “off the beaten path” to have privacy on their big day.

Bri told us from the beginning that she only took 18 couples per year to ensure that each couple had the time, attention, and focus they deserved and let’s just say it was an absolute honor to be one of the 18 couples she took on.

Bri’s communication was immaculate. If I had any questions or asked for a phone call, she would call me in less than 10 minutes. She created the most detailed folder for us to have from the very beginning of the process with our elopement timeline, vendor recommendations, Airbnb and restaurant recommendations, you name it, she provided it.

In addition to Bri’s amazing communication and knowledge, she has the best personality. As a couple who has never had professional photos taken, she made it feel fun, comfortable, and effortless.

Not only did we walk away with the most breathtaking pictures from our wedding day, but we walked away with a new friend.

Please look no further for your photographer, I assure you Bri is the best!”

You want to elope in a national park.

But how do you actually do it?

Here’s your simple guide. Save this so you can come back to it when you need it:

Choose your park
Think about what feels like you. Towering granite cliffs in Yosemite. Mossy forests in Olympic. Desert cliffs in Zion. Wild coastlines in Acadia. Scroll photos, talk through what you imagine, picture the two of you standing there. That’s your starting point.

Hire your photographer
It sounds really early, but trust me on this one. The right photographer will help you navigate rules, timing, weather, parking, and can even suggest hidden-gem locations (a huge bonus if you’re looking for something less crowded in a national park).

Pick your season
National parks change dramatically throughout the year. Some have winter road closures, some have summer crowds, some have wildflower seasons that last only a few weeks.

Secure your permit
Almost all national parks require a special use permit for ceremonies, and many have designated ceremony spots, group size limits, or noise rules. Every park is different, but the earlier you apply, the better.

Build your dream team
Your officiant, florist, and any other vendors will need to be familiar with outdoor logistics.

Plan your travel
Book your lodging, figure out sunrise or sunset timing, decide how far you’re willing to hike, and map out backup plans. National parks are stunning, but they’re wild so flexibility is key.

Say “I do”
You’re standing in one of the most beautiful places in the world, holding hands with your favorite person, feeling the wind... don’t forget to soak up every second of it.

Your dream national park wedding doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to be in the right hands.

Here’s the thing about being an adult: you’re already doing a lot.

Work. Family. Laundry that somehow never ends. A to-do list that magically grows overnight.

Planning your wedding shouldn’t be added to that pile.

That’s exactly why I offer all-inclusive elopement packages, for couples who want the magic of a wedding day without the stress of planning one.

And when I say all-inclusive, I mean all-inclusive:
✔️ Vendors
✔️ Permits
✔️ Lodging + Airbnb stays
✔️ Flights + rental cars
✔️ Activities + experiences
✔️ Timeline + logistics
✔️ Every tiny detail you don’t want to spend your weekend Googling

You tell me your vision. A treehouse Airbnb. Window seats on your favorite airline. A hot air balloon. A food tour. A luxury picnic on the coast. Whatever you imagine, I handle it.

You simply show up.

Shelby and Euan said it best after booking my all-inclusive package:

“Who would’ve thought planning a wedding could be completely stress-free?! We opted for the all-inclusive package, and it is worth every. single. penny.”

Your only job is to wake up, say “I do,” and have the best day of your life.

My job is to take care of everything else.

So while you’re juggling work, life, and figuring out what to make for dinner tonight, your dream elopement is quietly being planned, booked, organized, and brought to life by someone in your corner from day one.

Maybe it’s an ice caves tour through Iceland with an Airbnb of glass so you can see the Northern Lights like Shelby and Euan, or maybe it’s a helicopter tour with a private picnic on the other side of Catalina Island like Courtney and Riley, or maybe it’s a beachside ceremony in Big Sur with a catered picnic and gorgeous florals like Vaz and Jon. All of which were planned by me.

That is what an all-inclusive elopement should look like.

If you want to skip the overwhelm and step straight into the adventure, I’ve got you.

You’ve just got engaged and want to elope!

But… where do you even start?

Consider this your mini elopement roadmap. Save it, screenshot it, come back to it whenever the planning brain fog creeps in.

Let’s get into it:

Dream a little
Before you make any decisions, get inspired. Create a mood board, scroll Pinterest, talk about what feels like “you.” Think about landscapes, weather, etc. If nothing was off-limits, what would your elopement look like?

Figure out your budget
Elopements can be simple or luxurious. They can cost far less than a traditional wedding, or they can include splurges like private tours, florals, or dinners. There’s no right number, but it helps to know what range feels comfortable before moving forward.

Book your photographer
I know. This feels early, but photographers who specialize in elopements typically help with location scouting, permit guidance, timelines, vendor recommendations, and more. A good elopement photographer is a secret weapon.

Choose your location and date
Now that you have a vision and a photographer, pick your spot. National park? Redwoods? Oregon Coast? Small mountain town? Your photographer can help you choose a date that aligns with the best weather, lighting, and accessibility for your spot.

Sort out travel
Your flights, rental car, lodging, and anything else you need to get there. This is also when you start daydreaming about the little add-ons: maybe a hot tub, a van rental, or a cute beach cottage.

Book your vendors
You get to choose how simple or elaborate this part is. Common vendors include hair and makeup, florals, officiants, videographers, or unique experiences like chefs, picnics, or guided tours.

Handle permits and paperwork
Most outdoor locations require a special use permit. Your photographer can usually guide you through what’s needed and when to apply. Marriage licenses look different in every state, so make sure to check the rules for your specific state.

Elope
You made it! Laugh, cry, pop champagne, explore, sit in silence, dance under the stars, do whatever feels right.

Now all that’s left is to make it happen.

And if you need a guide who’s done this a hundred+ times, I’m right here.

Eloping just the two of you doesn’t mean your friends and family have to feel left out.

In fact, some of the sweetest moments I’ve seen come from couples who chose to elope and still found meaningful ways to bring their people into it.

Here are a few of my favorite ideas:

1. Have them write letters.
Handwritten notes to read on your elopement morning hit different. I can almost guarantee tears will be shed.

2. Do a first look… via FaceTime.
A quick first look or “WE DID IT!” call after the ceremony always leads to the best reactions. Tears, screams, laughter… sometimes all three.

3. Bring sentimental items with you.
A piece of jewelry, a scarf, a handwritten recipe, a childhood photo, something borrowed.

4. Plan a celebration afterward.
A dinner, backyard reception, or a full-on party weeks (or months) later gives you the best of both worlds.

5. Share the story in a meaningful way.
Create an album, send a video, mail Polaroids, or share a highlight film. Let them experience the day the way it felt, not just the way it looked.

Because here’s the truth:

Eloping doesn’t mean choosing less.

It just means choosing a day that feels like you, while still finding intentional, heartfelt ways to bring your people along.

You can have the 2-person experience and the family relationship.

You don’t have to sacrifice one for the other.

Planning an elopement across the country sounds intimidating… but it’s actually way more doable than most couples think.

I’ve helped couples plan their day from thousands of miles away, and here’s the secret: you don’t need to know the area, you just need someone who does.

From finding the right ceremony spot to figuring out permits, timelines, backup locations, travel logistics, weather, and where to grab dinner after… I handle all of that so you can focus on the fun parts.

You can live in New York and elope in Washington.
You can live in Florida and elope in Oregon.
You can live anywhere and still have the day you’ve been dreaming about.

Cross-country doesn’t mean complicated.
It just means intentional.
And when you have the right guide, it becomes a whole lot easier (and way more fun).

If you’re planning without a photographer or planner guiding you, here are a few things that really help:

- Start with your season. Weather looks very different across the country. Pick your date based on conditions, not just availability.

- Choose a general region first. Don’t try to pick one exact spot immediately. Narrow it down to a few landscapes (beach, forest, mountains) and then refine from there.

- Check permit requirements early. Some places approve permits in days, others take months.

- Create a simple travel buffer. Fly in at least one day early so delays don’t stress you out.

- Have a backup location ready. Especially if you’re choosing mountains or coastlines where conditions can change fast.

- Keep your timeline loose. Cross-country elopements feel best when there’s room to breathe.

If your dream location is on the other side of the map, don’t let the distance scare you, you can absolutely make it happen.
