Staring up at the stars after a long day of snow shoeing around the lake. On this night as we sat by the fire, we heard the scream of a cougar. I’ve visited this particular cabin three separate times, and each time I’ve come across s**t, tracks, and heard their call in the forest. I’ve always had a thing with Cougars, and have had many sightings in the wild while elk hunting with my Dad. They’re so special and amazing to me. It made this view even more special 💜

I get so used to being on the other side of the camera that stepping in front of the lens often immerses me into big anxious feelings. The perfectionist in me is a hard one to tame when it comes to self portraits. But that’s where one beautiful and highly skilled photographer cousin came in. Thank you - once again your work is magic.
