I was recently ask what I consider makes a photograph worthy of a fine art print. I don't search or stalk and environment for a photograph. It finds me. After I have spent a lot time in area, maybe days meal weeks the nuances become familiar. Perhaps it's the spirits of the land that reveal its beauty based on trust. Or maybe ones mind goes quiet so they can appreciate what is around them. Once I see and feel the mood that is the time to tell the camera and lens to convey what I see. And the most important part is what I feel. Im not sure this photograph will make a fine art print. I do know when I look at it I can relive that morning, the faint remnants of blue mist, the cool dew soaking though my shoes, the distant wood pe**er hamming a tree, the Redwing blackbird song or the elk scent lingering in the meadow mixing with the Cottonwood and Willow buds unfolding. If I can translate any photograph into a print that others and myself can wander again and again. A place where they immerse themselves and feel wonder and renewed, the this is the starting point of one of my fine art prints
