After a nights rest, I came back for sunrise at Dead Horse Point State Park. Minutes before arriving the sunrise looked promising, unfortunately the light didn’t shine as I’d like, but that’s okay. I still love the shot cause of how moody and peaceful this area is. This was the beginning of a new day and adventure, it did not disappoint.

Milkyway over Monument Valley, Utah

Driving back from Horseshoe Bend, the Milkyway view from the KOA Journey and in the distance is monument valley visitor center. It certainly is quite the scene at night with no clouds. This was one of the days with clear skies, I was exhausted and didn’t want to spend too much time looking for a composition, road side shots are just as cool especially when the Milkyway is putting on a show.

The desert rarely gives you exactly what you planned for.

I arrived at Factory Butte hoping for dramatic light, and for a few brief moments, the sky came alive. Fast moving clouds, glowing horizons, and endless badlands textures transformed an already incredible landscape into something unforgettable.

Sometimes the best photographs come from staying a little longer and letting nature do the rest.

The desert doesn’t reveal its beauty all at once.

It starts with the cracks beneath your feet, follows the winding scars carved through the earth, and eventually leads your eyes to something much larger than yourself.

Standing here at sunset, watching the last light touch Factory Butte, I was reminded that some of the best landscapes aren’t found by looking at the destination they’re found by paying attention to the path that leads there.

Have you ever visited a place that felt like another planet?

Some nights don’t need words.

Just wildflowers swaying in the dark, distant lights tucked into the hills, and a sky reminding you how small and lucky you really are. 🌌✨

A mother’s love feels a lot like the night sky…
quiet, endless, comforting, and always there even when we cannot fully see it. ✨

On this night, the wildflowers glowed beneath the stars, reminding me how the people who nurture us become the light we carry through life.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom, grandmother, and mother figure who has helped someone bloom. 💛

Some nights feel bigger than us.

Just silence, stars, and a reminder of how small we really are.

The kind of night that makes you forget time exists for a little while.

The sky looked like it was on fire for just a few minutes… then it disappeared after sunset.

One thing I’ve learned chasing light across the Pacific Northwest the most unforgettable moments rarely last long.

Just the kind of sunset that makes you stop thinking for a second.

Would you stay and watch the storm roll in… or chase the last light?
