I started shooting 📸 digital in studio in 1994, in fact I purchased the '64th' Leaf high resolution digital camera back (mounted on the back of a Hasselblad 553) sold in the United States; I stopped shooting film altogether in '97. That and $4 will get me a coffee ☕️, today it doesn't matter. BUT, the digital systems I have today make that first camera system more akin to Apollo 11, so I recognize how spoiled I am with the technological power of what I can do. Having said that, as a professional for almost fifty years, I've learned that one of the truths in good photography is how well the bokah is understood and controlled. Bokah is the soft, out of focus background that frames the subject in a shot, without it the image becomes a snapshot. Here is an example of how bokah works with an image. 🙏
