Here's another from some fun we had with the front yard. The hole will soon be replaced by a more "traditional" front yard. But hopefully these moments will forever be remembered because I let the kids do what they wanted for a time. The soil had to be hauled away anyways and the space needed water to soften the soil. It was also hot so we needed to cool down. Obviously the only solution was to find a way to do all those things at the same time.
Don't forget to stay nourished on a hot day. It's hard to stop and eat when you are busy and your body is covered with mud.

Trying to take a break from editing a huge batch of dance photos. Thankfully for the moments my kids force me to stop and play with them. Ok, I mostly watch while working in the yard but I do try to take a moment and capture a moment.
My daughter said I should do a series of these photos throughout the summer so perhaps I'll actually get around to sharing them as well. We are just barely in June and I have a few shots for the series already.
Here's to taking a break in a mud bath, or watching a mud bath; however is more enjoyable for you.

Been a while since I posted. Honestly it just isn't my priority these days but it doesn't mean I'm not up to stuff. In fact my daughter has been bugging me to sign up for a vendor event for a while and it's officially happening.
May 24th I will be at the Other Side Plant Sale at the Rockwood Plaza organized by .
I will have prints and products featuring my images as well as having many plants and recycled art planters from my collection.
I'll leave you all with some cell phone photos I took with my daughter's girl scout troop recently. They enjoyed helping me find plants and then photographing them.

My daughter's dance photo for the year. I have a lot of fun doing these studio shots. So much fun that we will be adding a studio to our house for an easy option for indoor sessions. Don't worry if the odd and quirky kid shots are what you are after, those will still be my focus. And to prove my point here's one of my son. He came with dad to pick up his sister after class and wanted his photo done too. So here he is in a random outfit with a slinky he found in the car. Whatever kid. Lol.

We moved last summer and I've not really lived in anything close to the suburbs like this since I was a kid. Even then I never lived in a neighborhood quite like this one, or maybe I just ever paid attention to things. Now days I can go on a walk or run with my dod pretty much every day and we go the same route which allows me to keep an eye out for anything new and different and any signs of the changing seasons. I like to keep my phone handy to catch fun little glimpses from a new angle. Currently it appears spring may be nearby; however I suspect we have one more nasty cold front before we really get to move into full bloom and my favorite time of year.

Today is a tea day. Good thing I have these fun new mugs. Also I have decided to take the leap and actually order some merchandise. My daughter love allerations so welcome the first of my Magic Mushroom Mug series.

I hope neither of us are ever too old to stop and admire the pretty lights. Holiday lights are one of the few things I love about this time of year. I know winter just started but I'm already craving Summer!

To those of us who stay up late to create the Christmas magic, Merry Christmas! To everyone else; I hope you find some fun and festive spot to just sit and enjoy yourself.
PS. The cat refused to help with any of the Santa fun although I do think she enjoyed her Christmas Eve.
