Where have I been? 👇

Welcome to the new Medium Phormat ✨2026 edition✨

You probably remember me from the early Reels era — gaining millions of views the first year it launched. Life got busy, the photography side of the business grew, and then I stepped back to focus on some big personal chapters.

But this account and what it could be never left my mind.
So I'm back. And things look a little different now.

Medium Phormat has evolved from photography into full brand and ecommerce growth for product-based businesses. I work with CPG brands — food, beverage, lifestyle — helping them look premium, sell more, and show up online the way they deserve to.

What you'll see here is the real BTS of that work. Brand buildouts, product shoots, ecommerce strategy, the before and afters. The stuff that actually happens behind a growing brand.

That’s what IG is all about at the end of the day — connecting with likeminded individuals with actual meaningful content.

There’s a reel accompanying this photo but I figured you’d want to zoom in and see the different photos that were composited to create this image.

This shot took two tries. The first one required much editing to achieve the final image, so we scrapped it.

With the second try, we composited four different photos to achieve this final photo. Swipe to see the different photos as well as the lighting set up we used!

Here’s a simple photo breakdown from one of our recent client shoots. We won’t be revealing the entire BTS for client work but we’re going to give you insight on how we set up the shot.

Taking some pointers from ’s photo breakdowns, but it’s tough when his work is miles beyond your own haha.

This journey all started when I found a few tech and desk setup accounts on here. It struck something in me that made me want to go all in on being a product photographer.

Before this, product photography was something I used to do on the side. It was always something I wished could be done full-time.

I finally said screw it and went all in. I started posting nonstop here on Instagram, and I dropped all of my other gigs to focus on product photography.

This change brought Medium Phormat to life. What first started as a small side project quickly grew into main squeeze and passion.

It has taken me over 4 years to get to this point, but only 1 year of true dedication to finally reach my goal of becoming a full-time product photographer.

These days I’m continuing to build Medium Phormat and evolve it into becoming a photographer’s company, not just a client-first business.

Today, we work with million-dollar brands that I never would’ve dreamed I’d get contracts with. But it’s all coming to light that it accomplishing your dreams really is possible.

I just want to remind everyone that things take time and dedication. We all have stretches where we sit on our butts all day hoping for the best, but know that only you can make your dreams come true. And that’s through hard work.

But trust me, it’s worth it.

Sometimes they can come out way too flat, but other times they just work out perfectly. I find that sometimes it’s just chance rather than any actual planning.

You have an idea in your head but then you start shooting and the results come out completely different than what you first thought. Gotta love the process!

I just know you wanted to see the bts for this shot 😉.

The best part of product photography has to be how easy it is to build a setup and start shooting.

You don’t need tons of space or crazy lighting rigs.

You don’t even need anyone else in the room with you. Just you and your camera is literally all you need.

It makes me happy I can be in my own little zone shooting away. Even better that my studio is located in my own home haha.

White dials are tough to shoot for me, so I haven’t shot this watch in quite a while. Going to have to try different things with this piece and shoot it in a different way.

In the meantime, enjoy this flat lay. Definitely need a bigger diffuser as the studio grows. But like I always say, it’s better to work with what you have and improve that way!

Do you put a lot of time and effort into your content creation?

Lately, I personally haven’t been. I’ve truly been slacking, but all that has changed recently. Now, I’ve dedicated a lot more time to both content creation and getting you guys the information you need to be successful in this field.
