Happy Mother’s Day to Angela. It’s insane looking at the fact that we have a 17 year old now and realizing we’ve been on this parenting journey together for almost two decades. Somewhere between all the school mornings, late night talks, stressful moments, proud moments, and all the little in between parts of life, you became such an incredible mother.

There’s this warmth and steadiness you bring into our daughter’s life that I’ve always admired. You’ve always been someone she could feel safe with, vent to, and lean on, and I know how much that will mean to her in the future.

Parenting isn’t always easy and I don’t think either of us had a roadmap for any of this, but I genuinely can’t imagine going through it with anyone else. I’m really proud of the mom you are and really grateful we’ve gotten to build this life together.

We love you endlessly.

It’s a weird thing, being a wedding photographer. You start to realize most of your memory markers aren’t just holidays or milestones, they’re all the weddings over the years. Like Jennie and Dalton’s, two years ago in Pennsylvania. Our last spring out east before heading back west. Everything felt right on the edge of changing. I remember the weeks leading up to it, checking the forecast, wondering if we’d get that perfect sunny day with those old European church vibes at Merion Tribute House in the background, or if we’d be dodging puddles and hunting for quiet, interesting pockets indoors.

They were unreal. Effortless, classic, the kind of good-looking that doesn’t need extra styling or staging to stand out. Put them on a waterfront in the Pacific Northwest and it’s almost unfair.

We had those soft little sprinkles, just enough to make the air feel electric, not enough to send anyone running. The sky stayed bright, the water stayed calm, and the light was an absolute gift. Everything glowed.

And their people showed up. Big laughs. Packed dance floor. Zero holding back. It felt less like a formal event and more like the best party of the year that just happened to include a wedding ceremony by the water.

Days like this are why we love what we do. Beautiful setting, gorgeous couple, a little moody weather for drama, and a whole lot of joy.

Alexandra + Jack, you two made it easy.

Happy Birthday to my favorite human and my forever teammate.

Drew, building this life with you has been the wildest, most beautiful ride. We’ve packed up our entire world more than once. We’ve started over in new cities. We’ve driven across the country chasing light, love stories, and whatever felt right at the time.

And somehow, every move, every leap, every 14-hour wedding day just made us stronger.

You’re the steady hand when things feel chaotic. The calm voice in timeline panic. The person who believes in us when I get in my head. The reason this business exists the way it does.

But more than any of that, you’re my home.

I’m so proud of the life we’ve built. Southern California to Colorado to the East Coast to the Pacific Northwest… and somehow it still just feels like the beginning.

I can’t wait to see where we go next.

Ending 2025 grateful and a little battle tested. Transitioning our wedding photography business to the Pacific Northwest from the Northeast came with challenges we didn’t fully see coming, but also the year was packed with moments that reminded us why we do this in the first place.

Grateful for the couples we photographed, the work that kept us grounded, and the belief that good things take time.

We’re heading into 2026 hopeful, energized, and ready for what’s next. If this is the year you’re planning something meaningful, we’d love to be part of it. We hope everyone from clients future and past, fellow photographers, and everyone in between a happy new year.
