I am proud to be part of such a caring community of photographers! Let’s show Laura Whalen Photography’s family our full support and capture some great photos for you.

I absolutely love the photography community and being a part of it. So when one of our own needs help, we band together and help. 💛

Laura Whalen Photography is as sweet as she is talented, and a pillar in our little community. Recently, Laura and her husband received news that their two year old daughter, Adley, has been diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.

Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that leads to severe impairments, affecting nearly every aspect of life. Rett particularly affects speech, purposeful hand use, and coordination, leaving individuals understanding more than they can communicate.

With this diagnosis, comes a lifelong journey for the Whalen family. Between medical treatment, therapies, equipment, travel expenses, they will need all the help they can receive.

In an effort to help raise money for this incredibly strong family, a handful of us have decided to donate our services on what we are naming Adley’s Day.
On July 16th, from 3pm-6pm, photographers in various parts of Maine will be holding mini session marathons.

These sessions will take place in our home locations, and will be free with a minimum donation of $50 to Laura’s GoFundMe (linked below).

To reserve a spot, simply message the photographer of your choice with your preferred time slot and a screenshot of your donation.
