Big thank you to everyone who has watched, commented, shared, saved, and sent messages of support for our project.
Filmmaking is never just about the final product. It’s about the all of the moving parts aligning to create and work cohesively. Things don’t necessarily work how you intended, which is why being flexible and willing to adapt is an important skill to have in anything you do. This project faced its share of delays, but vision and persistence turned obstacles into stepping stones. In just two days, with only 2-3 hours of shooting each day; one of them being on my birthday. We were able to see the project through and I couldn’t any happier with how everything turned out.
Big thank you to Lydia (), stepping into her first acting role alongside Andre (.francois98), who I jokingly refer to as Donald Glover. He writes, acts, and all he’s missing is a mic hahaha! On a serious note, his narrative shaped The Great Side Quest.
A huge thanks to Kiran interpreting our vision and helping us bring the story to life, thank you for your professionalism, efficiency and care.
None of this could’ve happened without the incredible beings at L’Atelier Yaffe and creating the space and 3rd home for us here in the town.
