Jake and Rachel trusted me to guide them through the process after the proposal, so they could get beautiful photos and soak in this exciting moment! As we walked along some of their favorite trails for their Maine engagement session, Ramune and Carlos shared their love story with me. I am heartbroken that these film photos I took at a protest in January are still relevant. I don’t have the right words to talk about these tragedies occurring in my community, and in my country, but know that I am grieving, I am angry, and I am fighting for a nation where this does not happen. My heart is with everyone whose lives have been horribly affected by the treatment of immigrants, especially immigrants of color, in this nation.
