Tag that dancer. 💃 🕺

Here’s the deal. These moves were collected from content creators, movies, musicians. If you recognize those moves, shout out the dancer. If not, tag someone who just loves to dance like an ANIMAL. 🦒 🐨🫎

This is called Animal Style. I made it as an installation at Art Design Xchange (ADX) for ADX FEST. It’s playing on a tv in the front gallery area for people to see.
This project was super fun!!
Every frame was printed onto paper, cut up, marked up, and pasted back together physically and digitally to create this short video. The animal heads are actually cut outs from old magazines. It is 35 seconds long at 9fps. Tell me how many total frames is that??

Shout out to Paper Idol for the song “I’m Fantastic”. This song slaps and it inspired me in the making of this piece.

I’ve been overwhelmed with the response of my Tim Curry homage reels and the love from that project! These are some of my favorite frames from the Mini Me mixed media remix I recently made. All the frames are captured in high res to be able to create work for 4k video edits. It’s fun to zoom way in and see the textures, details, and printer dots 🖨️ on some of these frames. It was around 216 frames total at about 21 seconds long.

I’m stunned by the hoards who enjoyed the process reel I posted. I really was wondering why I was making this seemingly pointless video out of paper that took weeks to make but I just had to do it to satisfy my own itch to make something dope.
AND NOW I KNOW WHY. Cause of everyone who showed up for that post with love, intrigue, confusion, and memes. I cannot believe it surpassed 1 milly views. Thanks so much for all the love and shares!!
