Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women out there! 💜

As a wedding photographer, I get one of the most beautiful privileges in the world: I meet people on one of the greatest days of their lives and sometimes, I get to watch those same brides grow into mothers. It never gets old and is a cherished part of my life and career.

Motherhood is beautiful. It’s magical. It’s messy and raw and incredibly hard and somehow, still, the most remarkable thing I’ve ever witnessed. There is truly nothing like it.

To every mother reading this: take a moment today. Reflect on the family you’ve built, the love you pour out every single day, and the irreplaceable role you play in this world.

Downtown Portland → Sauvie Island → the Gorge → the coast. Our team has been everywhere lately, and every single session has been a reminder of why we love what we do.

PSA: If you’re getting married, please do an engagement session. Not just because the photos are gorgeous (they will be) but because it’s genuinely one of the best investments in your wedding day. You’ll get comfortable in front of the camera, build a real relationship with your photographer, and show up on your wedding day like a total pro. đŸ’Ș

It was worth it. The forecast said cloudy so we were beyond lucky for these colors!

No rest for the wicked over here!

Today is packed, but first—we just have to say WOW. Yesterday was so special! We were truly honored to capture so many meaningful moments for our couples.

We’ve already started seeing previews as everything uploads, and we cannot wait to share sneak peeks with everyone this week đŸ€©

I’m heading to the coast today—off to Florence for our second session there this month. We’re starting at River Roasters, then exploring some of Mariah and Justin’s favorite spots, and wrapping up at Heceta Head Lighthouse!

Dom is at the desktop today—uploading, paying the team, starting culls for both weddings, and sending out Photo Booth galleries. Even after getting 20,000 steps yesterday, he’ll still hit the gym this afternoon and then brave the Costco crowd to meal prep for the week!

If you were a vendor we worked with yesterday—huge shoutout to you all. You absolutely crushed it, and everything ran smoothly. Love working with PORTLAND PROS who go above and beyond for their couples!
