I had a fun time capturing these guys battle it out for about 5 minutes. One of the last things I captured on the last day of our spring Yellowstone trip. It's always a great time and am looking forward to fall already!

Happy Moose Monday!

A little late on this post as I spent all day yesterday driving back home from SE Idaho. It was an end of an era yesterday as the USMC officially held the final flight of the McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II after 45 years of service.

Here are a few images I captured of this iconic fighter from the past few years. It will be missed and was always fun to watch them in action.

Just finished up another few days in the amazing Grand Teton NP and a few more up in Yellowstone. Always sad leaving the area, but I will be back sooner than later!

Here are a few images of one bear I really wanted to capture this trip. It’s been nicknamed “Miracle” and it has an impressive story. This is the last cub left from grizzly 1063’s first three cubs from 2024. The three were separated last year from mom and two of the three cubs were found dead, believed to have been killed by a male grizzly. Mom has come out again this year with new coy’s.

This little one though is a survivor. It should have been with mom still for a few more months this year before being set out on its own. This little survivor has been able to fend for itself, figured out how to den by itself this past winter and looks to be thriving! I hope this little miracle can lead a long life doing bear things in the shadows of the Teton range!

Throwback Thursday!

Here is a throwback to last Saturday at the Oregon International Airshow in Hillsboro. It was a difficult day to photograph. The skies were ever changing, some patches of blue skies, lots of clouds (some white and some really dark) and multiple rainstorms. I was just happy to be out there photographing fast jets again! We usually spend a lot of time down south in the winter photographing them a lot and I have really been missing it. Looking forward to August now and the Blues back in the area!
I am way behind on editing so here is a quick sneak peek from one day of the show, an image of almost all the acts (I missed 2-3 due to heavier rain and just watched and enjoyed instead of photographed). Enjoy!
