Throwback Thursday!

Here is a throwback to last Saturday at the Oregon International Airshow in Hillsboro. It was a difficult day to photograph. The skies were ever changing, some patches of blue skies, lots of clouds (some white and some really dark) and multiple rainstorms. I was just happy to be out there photographing fast jets again! We usually spend a lot of time down south in the winter photographing them a lot and I have really been missing it. Looking forward to August now and the Blues back in the area!
I am way behind on editing so here is a quick sneak peek from one day of the show, an image of almost all the acts (I missed 2-3 due to heavier rain and just watched and enjoyed instead of photographed). Enjoy!

Happy Wildlife Wednesday! This time next week, I will finally be back in the Tetons and then Yellowstone for the first trip of the year to these locations. These two beauties below have both come out with new cubs this year. 610, the daughter of the famous grizzly 399, has come out with a set of twins! Grizzly 1063 has come out with her second set of triplets! Hopefully, I will have luck and can capture new images of these grizzly moms and their COYs.

Here are two consecutive images of an osprey fishing. The first image is of it at its full stretch at peak aerodynamics as it throws itself towards the water and its target fish. Look at those sharp talons, I would hate to be on the other side of those!

The second image is the next one in the sequence taken less than a second later and shows the point of impact as the osprey enters the water and most likely spearing or grabbing the fish.

I absolutely love watching these birds' fish, it's very challenging to photograph, which makes it so rewarding to catch a sequence successfully!

Here is a nice set from earlier this week! An Osprey emerges from the water after diving and catching this nice fish for dinner! These were three successive images I took in a long series of the set up, dive, catch and scramble out of the area before the bald eagles come and try and steal the catch!

I think I will definitely add the pano to my store, maybe one of the others too? What do you guys think?
