Anyone else sick recently or have kids home sick?! What the hell is going around?! I was sick for over a week! I ended up with an ear infection & lost partial hearing in my right ear. It’s been a weird time. So happy to be feeling better, minus my ear!
Admin day today while I edit & get caught up after being sick. Emails are all responded to.

A cried as T walked down the aisle, we all cried. Everyone prayed over the couple & there was an intimate private last dance. Does it get any better than that?!

I have gotten multiple emails, texts and fb messages today….

Sorry y’all but I was awake for 28hrs & shot an amazing birth. Magical shots…

Then I got hurt & bad. Fell face planted into the hard ground. Lots of blood & pain.

I’m not going into the details because it’s gnarly & gross looking.

That being said I am resting & still on mom duty.

I’m not going to respond until tomorrow so I can rest. Forgive me! 💖

First dances always melt my dang heart! This wedding was so sweet. The room was always filled with so much love! They bonded over donuts on their first date in Portland! Fun fact - they both flew into the city for that date. Worked out in the end & they had donuts at their wedding. DOES IT GET ANY CUTER?!
Her father not only made the song but also a dance to go with it for their dance. Not a dry eye! Reception on a yacht? I think YES.

Did you know I was a teen mom at 15?! - Hey! That’s me on the right, I’m Rena! Your local family & wedding photographer. I had to share another photo because I’m so proud of my daughter! Thought it would be a good time to do another introduction.
Yep! I had my sweet baby at 15, now they are about to turn 18! You can do that math. It changed my life forever & if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be the woman & mom I am today.
Some fun facts about me are :
- I have severe combined ADHD.
- I have a dog I’m pretty obsessed with & I love all animals.
- Thrifting has been in my blood since I was a child.
- I have a full resale business too!
- Good food is my passion & love.
- Acts of service is one of my love languages.
- I’m a Libra & you’ll know it if you know me 🙂
- I love to read!
- I’ve been a photographer since 2019 officially, but I grew up with cameras in my hands!
It’s an honor to get to meet the families & people I do. To be a part of your life memories is not something I take lightly.

When Kellie first reached out for a family session & chose one of my favorite locations I knew it would be gorgeous! Their daughter & I were finding all the flowers together for a while & all of us spent a solid chunk of time trying to get the handsome little dude to crack a smile. Ha! It was a great time.
When you watch their slideshow or look through the images you feel like you’re there hanging out again. That’s what family sessions should be, making real memories. I’m always happy to snap some images that are directed to look more posed, but I promise you 95% of your session with me is spent in laughter, fun games that result in gorgeous photos, and honestly I’m happy to be on the ground smelling flowers with your toddlers.
Family sessions may turn out to be chaos, after all the toddlers are in charge! So it’s OKAY if your images are you smelling flowers with your kids, dancing in the field because that’s what would hold her attention, it’s OK to look back on the photos of your kids running around. They are only young once. These are the real memories I aim to capture at all family sessions.

Class of 2024 - let’s get those senior sessions scheduled! Remember that June-September are the best months of the year for those sessions! Typically they are due to schools in November. Reach out if you or someone you know still needs to book their senior session!

Wedding season starts soon & I couldn’t be more excited. This weather has me looking forward to so many fun summer sessions and beautiful weddings! The sunsets become more beautiful in the summer too if you ask me! Who else is excited for that weather?
