Hey! I was voted Best Videographer by PWN Weddings’ 2026 Excellence Awards!

This weekend as I was on my way to a rehearsal I got an email from Lauren at with the big news. It feels immensely gratifying to be recognized as one of the teams out here trying to really push the envelope, just after the release of our first feature film, which should be screening in theaters this summer! I have tons of love for the vendors out here and it’s amazing to have heard from so many of the folks I havent worked with in years who reached out to tell me they voted.

I'm excited to share that this video will be showcased on The Knot and Wedding Wire this week! I hope it brings back happy memories of Danny and Blake's special day.

Danny and Blake's rustic wedding was full of love, jokes, and particularly hilarious speeches. I loved how the couple incorporated their style into every detail. The grounds and details were absolutely breathtaking. I'm so honored to have been a part of their special day.

The wedding film format is impressively applicable for tons of life events. For example, I worked with the ever-talented Grace Helen Photo last spring, and shortly after, she invited us to crash her family’s photo shoot and film alongside Alexandra Grace Photography. It was our first attempt at a project like this, so I stuck with the basics; just a couple of lenses and a tripod. Big ups to Alexandra for planning this perfectly with the wildflower bloom.

I love working with film photographers because it always seems like we work at the same pace. The extra half-second here and there to pull focus, change film, etc., always slows me down enough to catch the extra moment that absolutely delivers in the editing bay.

I filmed my second family film this weekend in Eugene with an identical setup, and I can’t wait to get into the edit.

I was talking to a friend about wedding venues in the gorge, and it reminded me of filming this day at the Tin Roof Barn. Michael and Michelle created a fantastic day for filming this Watertown wedding alongside Catherine Marie Taylor. I’m headed back to Tin Roof this August, so stay tuned!

Patrick and Lauren set us up with the best for this one. I remember chatting with Tyler and Mariana at dinner about how they brought out the big guns. Namely, how smooth everything seems to go when I'm on a J29 wedding. Not to mention Brasada being Brasada. I don't think there was a poor angle in the place. I've also worked with the John Ross outfit a few times now. I even wrote about them last year in my post re: great wedding audio (see Daniel & Natasha's video in my IG Vids). At a recent wedding this year, I learned that over quarantine, John made an actual Christmas album, and it honestly slaps. Probably my second favorite only to the 2008 Christmas with Weezer.
