The A Frame at Oliver Lodge is one of my go to captures during any season. Driving through Lake Winnipesaukee offers so many incredible vantage points but this is one that really strikes me every time.

Four years ago today, I fell off a cliff at Crawford Notch while watching the train go by. I shattered my foot, and it took almost a year to walk again. It took even longer to walk without assistance and even now, I live with changes that I've had to adapt to ever since.

Back then, I thought it was just a freak accident. Looking back, it was one of those turning points; the kind that breaks you open in ways you don’t expect.

Pain forced me to slow down. Stillness taught me patience. And the climb back up (literally and figuratively) showed me what resilience really looks like.

Sometimes life pushes you off the edge so you can learn how to stand stronger when you finally get back up.

Here’s to every fall that teaches us how to rise again.

This trip has been a lot of "That would be pretty IF" but we were lucky to see some foliage on yesterday's excursion around Bristol to Bartlett Falls. Surprisingly there was also a nice water flow considering most waterways have been bare from the lingering drought. Honestly though, as long as I have coffee I am pretty much content anywhere.

About a day late and a dollar short this year for fall foliage in Vermont. The foliage peaked so early but there are still small pockets. This photo is the result of color saturation for your viewing pleasure but don't be fooled, Vermont is a dull and bare tundra right now. At least I can enjoy some fun times with friends, endless pumpkin spice lattes, and maple cider donuts.
